That is why I asked, the manual states 87 and then recommends 91.

Have you been satisfied with using the recommended 87 octane? Is there any noticeable upside to burning higher octane?

I use mine most of the time. WARNING: Make sure you close it. I hopped into the car and banged my forehead on the open door. :-(

I ask because sometimes at low speeds with the radio off, I hear a slight hissing sound when accelerating. I don't have the carbon traps as the prior owner took them out. Carmax is replacing the intakes with traps next week.

I thought it was the racing stripes.

I couldn't get it to work

I was on the Ford site building a GT Premium...it says it is an option. Active Valve Performance Exhaust GT $1,225S4 Available on GT and GT Premium. Includes Quad Chrome Tailpipe.

The previous owner removed the carbon traps and damaged the tubes. Fortunately, I bought the car from Carmax with a 90-day warranty. They are replacing the air intake tubes with carbon traps next week. I don't need extra HP and didn't want Ford to say I had modifications.
