I think its just economy. New car prices have just ballooned and not that many people want to pay 54K for a mustang GT premium, which is where most of them are stickered around me. I'm seeing 7500 off MSRP and they still not moving at my local dealership. The options just jump the price too much...
That's true there is definitely some value there but some packages come with things someone may not need and instead of a 3k package maybe they spend a significant amount less, say 1k, getting only what they need. Then they got 2k that can go toward something else that would be more...
Also, its like a slippery slope for me. GT? May as well get the GT premium but then there is the performance pack and magneride, I don't track but it looks pretty cool, I should get it but by that time I'm within the dark territory and of course I would want to get the premium so the price jumps...
Its true, I am that kinda guy lol. On the flip side, I've got some other things that I need to throw some money at and not looking to just throw money away on something that can be better had aftermarket or is just not worth. Just trying to get some other peoples opinions on what they found...
Yes, sorry for the confusion. Looking at is the GT premium "worth" it over the GT. If the premium is "worth" it, is the 401a package "worth" it.
I've had luxury brands in the past and although nice, I never was like man I need this creature comfort. Heated seats are nice but I live in the...
Rounded 2.9k~3k as that's what it is especially after tax where I live. B&O sound system. Curious about this, haven't A/B tested this versus the stock premium system put have heard from some that its not worth. Can be had for 1.3k (rounded) with the 360 pilot option. Security package (wtf is...
I like the np but black wheel is standard on the GT so it doesn't add a ton and if Im going to spend that probably just get some aftermarket wheels. can always black out the other stuff relatively cheaply if wanted.
pp - I love the wheels but its so hard to justify this if Im not tracking.
I get you but its not about the money per se but I found it hard, personally, to just "throw money out the window" meaning that it needs to add some value proposition. The gas is of no concern to me as I'm paying the cost for the smiles it brings. There's value in that but after the base model...
Trying to nail down my wants/needs for a new purchase. I'm a bang for the buck kinda person so even if i could afford a higher trim/package if it doesn't add that much value, its hard for me to justify to myself. This car is going to be a daily with no track usage. Probably going automatic since...
