Holy crap.. after all this messages, you didn't mentioned the fact that you have a EcoBoost not a GT??? (i've just noticed your profile): cars without the active exhaust doesn't have the remove rev!
Some user have reported in the past that they couldn't manage to activate the remote start nor the remove rev on their cars, no matter what. There's a chance that certain vehicles doesn't have the required hardware at all (that may be part of Ford Connect and such) and so activate the function...
Seems correct to me. So you enabled it, wrote it, and with the car on (engine running), by pressing in sequence (within 2 seconds): "unlock" and "lock" on the keyfob, it doesn't rev?
If so.. I have no idea then!
You're making a mess with quotes.. fixed. :)
No, you don't need another remote for the remote revving only, it's the UNLOCK > LOCK button sequence (with the engine running of course). But to start the car using the keyfob, yes, you need another one (see the thread linked above), the EU versions...
Replying to this for reference (if anyone will read this thread sometime in the future). The "7E0-02" address has been updated in the most recent versions of ForScan to (the proper one): 7E0-162 (and so 03 .. to 163). So the address for the remote rev is now: 7E0-162-04
More details here...
Here, with the additional keyfob and remote start: https://www.mustang7g.com/forums/threads/added-remote-start-keyfob-on-eu-s650.165197/post-3343944
(be aware, now the address, with the latest ForScan is 7E0-162-04)
WAL I think so (it even includes the APIM addon, which doesn't work properly.. coz you cannot manage the feature via dashboard); belts deleting, I don't think so.
I don't even remember now.. Remote Start was already enabled (but via app, so i've just changed the remote keybof), I've enabled the Remote Rev, the continuous gear indicator (showing the current gear even while in "D"), and the auto-lock feature with horn chirp (door locks automatically when...
Thanks, I've what I needed (and there's no "news" unfortunately :) ).
I was interested in the differences (if any) about the Engine Control logic and the Speed Limiting Features (SLF) between the different markets, but there isn't any.
Sent (we aware that certain addresses have been changed.. so my "AsBuilt" isn't stock anymore.. but I guess you'll like to preserve those functions, like remote start, rev, etc.).
I don't think there's a fixed value to multiply to. In example for our EU DH (275/40 R19) it would be 0,987:
2207 (real circumference) * 0,987 = 2178 (0882 HEX)
PS: do you know you can do all that by using ChatGPT using a "natural" language? :P
It's additional tips (silencers) used at the Nurburgring to respect the local law about noise levels (max 130dbA on drive-by if I'm not wrong, and 95dbA static). They are applied to the original mufflers.
They have active sound monitors around the track, unless you want to be banned you gonna...
No idea, that's why I've asked. It refers to the tires circumference as well, but AFAIK the APIM is only responsible of the interface, so I don't know what's about... that's why I've asked if you know anything about it. Maybe it's the size of the wheels on the screen (I'm joking but you never...
Reset the modules and it should work without throwing errors as those numbers will fall within the accepted numbers (unless they are different for any PCM, according to the original specs... but I don't think so). Mine (EU DH) is set to 0882 HEX.
PS:do you know anything about the APIM module...
There's two general rules: you can't use "too high" or "too low" numbers there, despite it accepting anything, there's certain limits (which are currently unknown for a specific car). Second thing, you have to reset the PCM and TCM modules to have them "re-learn" the new circumferences or there...
Overall attention when you change a "value" with another "value". It's not always, set it to "X" (where X is the value used by someone else). Those addresses are bytes, words, longwords (talking about programmers nomination), when you change a "byte" (a value), most of the times, you gonna...
I was thinking to enable the sequential (dynamic) turn signal on my EU via ForScan (easy job). I know that some people (imported) did the opposite. So get documented about the law and didn't found anything specific. First dynamic turning signals (as they are called here in EU) aren't illegal...
