Sorry, I don't buy that. I don't see how Ford can have a recall slated without a change for years that is a safety issue, and leaves people stranded, the dang bolt sheered off, there is no amount of "need to spend more for quality control" related to this one, this just should not happen, and...
I have had similar experiences of "glitches" in everything I have bought from Ford since a 2020 Explorer Platinum, 2021 F150 Powerboost (had so many screen freezes, stupid screens overlaying others that Ford could not even fix, etc etc., rear axle bolt sheering off, leaving me stranded, then, it...
Sorry to bring this back up, anyone have pics of adding one of the hidden hitches to a S650?
I have the 2024 GT Premium, it has all kinds of wind guides/plastic/etc all along under between the bumper and the axle, so, I'm sure I'd have to have someone custom it or I'd have to cut some plastic...
Cool video. Can't wait to go. April 28/29,
Just hoping against the old saying of....
April Showers bring May Flowers.
Hoping it cuts out a week early.
Thank you for sharing the video
ugh, very close inspection of the car, found 2 more plus the one on the right rear, oh well, hate to say it, this paint looks fabulous, but I do think it is pure shit for factory / reliability.
the spots are in different areas of the car, not rock chips or anything, same MO, will work on them...
ok, can you tell where they were? Some of what you see is dust specs that I left for comparison. I got 2 of the dints ok, the third is a bugger, and found a 4th that is on the wide that I have no idea how I missed it, it is on the right rear fender along the metal bend, ugh, oh well, I will get...
Thank you, I should be able to do this. I have the paint and my wife is a crafter / artist so she should have micro fine brushes and even a toothpick sized applicator.
Seems like it just takes a bit of patience....
Thanks
Maybe, but it is kept in a garage and where these dints are located is not in a normally seen spot. Since garage kept I did not have to wash it during that first three weeks, that was the first time I saw them, washing it where you do get a better view of every inch of the car.
I don't think...
Thoughts on what I can do myself to correct this?
I have 3 small paint blemishes that all look like someone took a nail and just tapped it in a single spot and the paint is gone down to the metal, I think.
No, no one did this, but that is what it looks like.
I noticed them a couple of weeks...
For everyone's reference,
https://www.tinting-laws.com/
It has links for each state, and they are different state by state.
(do not use this as gospel, if I were you I'd check your DMV website for confirmation)
According to the link above...
For reference:
Florida:
Tint darkness for sedans...
haha, no, but I do see them in the pic also, those are reflections of the popcorn ceiling from the lights on.
I have some pics of it when outside. But I think the sun glare might be a bit distracting.
Now, there is a gap running around the tint that was put on where those little dots are put...
They are 5%.
Yes, dark at night, but I'm use to it since 1988 on my wife's Thunderbird.
But, with that being said, I'd probably NOT recommend anything darker than 20%, jmho
Very very happy with my 2025 GT Premium.
One of the main reasons I bought it was the 5.0 Coyote, if I don't drive it like I stole it and I maintain it, that might be the last car I ever buy (maybe, uh, haha, can't wait for the Gt500KR to come back out, on it's way, right? lol)
In the state of TN you can get a waiver to get darker tinting if you can provide a medical note from a Dr stating such.
I got the waiver due to my wife's light sensitivity issue, yes, it's real, and it can be nasty if we went somewhere without the tinting exposing her to full sun for an hour or...
Another stick story....
In a parade, driving stick, several sticks had clutch issues at the end. The auto's all made it fine, varying car makes n models, sticks had issues.
On the motorcycles, almost all of the Harleys had to be towed to a shop because of different issues, funny, the Hondas all...
I did my top 3/8, so, time will tell. I've done that with others that had no window frame and as long as they sit for a day or two, never had an issue.
What I did not do was the maybe 1/8 inch of bubbles around the rear side windows and the rear window, so yes, there is the tiniest gap between...
yeah, understand the heat in FL, born there, lived up through middle school years in Altamonte Springs, then high school and college years in St. Cloud, spent many a liquid lunch those last few years in Cocoa Beach....
yeah, on my explorer I did go 35% on the two windows and same for the front...
I'm very happy with the automatic. I've driven stick for many many years, started out on 3 on a tree, showing my age, but the automatic beats my stick shifting even though i've learned stick competitively at a younger age. I LOVE doing stick, but I also use this to go on extended trips and in a...
The snarky answer is.... same color as my explorer, lol.
It is the Rapid Red Metallic.
The color is great, but those dang nit pocket holes (I have 2 that I know of) where it is a like a chip, but more like someone took a nail and just tapped it, no dent, just a pocket minus paint and overlay and...
