Last we checked in on our Lethal Performance 2024 Mustang GT, with the 3.0L Whipple Supercharger, we were down at Lujan Motorsports getting the Calimer Transmission and McLeod RXT clutch kit installed. While we were down there we also installed a set of Kelltrac adjustable front struts and a set of ViKing adjustable rear shocks.
Our plan with this car is to hit the track again, but this time with a set of Hoosier slicks mounted on some LPS5 drag wheels. Our goal? 9s. While Jared is a novice at racing with a manual transmission, we are confident we can hit the mark.An important part of running a good time at the track is a good suspension setup. Paired with the Steeda Stop the Hop starter kit that is on the car, the Kelltrac and ViKing setup will round out our suspension and allow us to finely tune it for a great 60'.
During the install, we reached out to Kelly Aiken, of Kelltrac, who went over the basics of launching a manual transmission S550 and S650 and what settings we should start with.
