Anchor Room RTR Similar Hood Stripe Fitment

Anyone install the AR RTR knockoff hood stripes and notice they are curved when they should be straight? No matter how I try to split the difference they will run out of the body lines.

Yep I had the same problem with the RTR style Anchor Room graphics. I went to my local vinyl shop that specializes in vehicle graphics and they made a set of graphics that lined up perfectly with the hood. They can print a set and ship it to you. They are car guys and are great to deal with. Ask for Craig.

I’m not sure what the style is. I showed them pictures of what I want and they drew these up and printed them.

Since the hood stripes were curved like a banana an I had a hard time aligning the last ones against the straight hoodline, I decided buy another set. At least they offer 1/2 off for oops purchase. I just couldn't handle seeing the crooked stripe from behind the wheel.

I decided to cut the top of the hood stripes to make a straight line for me to align with the body line. I used a steel yardstick and used the points at each end of the stripes as datum points. My wife used her rotary cutter (looks like a small pizza cutter with razor edge) on a cutting pad to make a perfect cut. I wrapped the stripe around the back of the hood because the new alignment would have revealed a off angle at the back edge. I am much more satisfied with the result..

Thanks. I do have an update on those. You have to be careful at the sharp points on the hood stripes when you wash and dry the car because micro fiber will try to get stuck under the decal. I used a pencil eraser to pull the micro fibers out from under the decal.

Yep I have had the same problem. The guys at the graphic shop told me to gently pat the graphics to clean them and to use a leaf blower to dry the car.
