Like most people on here I am always in tune with how the car feels as it is a daily driver me. I had to ask about this because maybe it's a placebo....lol...has anyone felt any differences in the way their car feel/behaves/responds after a software update. I feel as though my car does in fact feel different. Mine feels more responsive and the modes feel tighter/more refined. Is it just me...or can someone explain if it's technically different in the software parameters or placebo 😆. The only I don't like that is still there is throttle lag in track mode. I understand why they built it in for grip...but isn't that what your foot is for lol?!

Depending upon what module is updates, yes, an update can affect performance of the vehicle. OTA is just a delivery mechanism to get module updates to your vehicle, no different than if the tech at the dealership had updated some modules using the FDRS system (Ford Diasgnostic and Repair System).

Makes sense, I wish the update info was a little more clear about what was happening in case we notice a negative effect after the update.

The only update that would change the way a vehicle drives is a PCM update. Every new gen Mustang I have checked for pending updates shows a PCM update pending, but nobody has gotten it sent OTA yet that I know of. The only person I know that has the new PCM software is @roadpilot since he updated his car himself with FDRS. Which update was it that you got?

The ECG is the GWM, so an update to that module would not change the way it drives.

Yes, it seems that Ford is sending out updates and not using the numerical sequences they have been using for years. That update you mentioned has been pushed out to F150's, Lightnings and Mach E's for week now.

Where to see update version in the App? All I see is software update settings. Cannot find it.

Unfortunately, the app doesn't always record the updates you get and cannot be relied upon for this all the time.

Well, I thought I might be immune to the update issues, but nope. Had latest update install, "anti-lock braking system software, and now I've got issues. Traction Control, My Mustang, Favorite, etc., are not working, plus some other settings have disappeared that I've got to redo.....damn!!
