Hello all.
I have noticed ever since installing the DH HP splitter on my car, this thing is just constantly scraping. The regular splitter never did, but I guess because the HP one is much larger, steep inclines kill me. Does anyone here know any products that I can put on it or something that can avoid this issue? Thanks

Welcome to the world of low splitters... I have the RTR splitter on mine, only scraped once, on a driveway that I usually take at an angle but couldn't as someone was coming out as I was going in, forcing me to take straight on.

There are some "sacrificial" strips or buttons available that can be attached to save the plastic.

I have a '22 with the HP splitter and belly pan. At the front edge, it measures 6 inches / 15.25 cms of clearance. But at the lowest point, underneath, it measures 4.5 inches. / 11.4 cms.

The Owners Manual advises it's best not to attempt grades greater than 7 degrees. For maintenance, Race Ramps sells low-rise units.

Doing the following three things while driving have allowed to me to avoid the worst of any scraping or bottoming:

- Approach dips or rises at a slow speed

- Cross low-to-moderate elevation changes at an angle

- Avoid hi-rise sections all-together. For example, several neighborhoods have common speed bumps. These are often not an issue. I simply go slow, at an angle. But one or two areas have substantially higher ones; I avoid these all-together. Same with driveways. Most driveways are not an issue. For those select few, I try another entrance

It's not a constant problem, but it does take a greater awareness when driving. Eventually, you develop a sense for it.

Try crossing them on an angle if possible, I've found that sometimes helps.
I know this works but Iā€™ve never quite understood the math behind it. Seems like both front wheels going over a rise at the same time would yield more ground clearance than one at the time.

The angle is shallower due to longer crossing distance when going diagonal which lets the splitter clear.
