Default Audio Source?

If the last audio source before turning off the vehicle was an FM radio station, I would like it to return to that station the next time I start the car. But, that is not how mine is working. When mine is first started it goes back to that FM station for maybe 10 seconds or so and then when CarPlay is fully loaded it switches to my Spotify and the primary play list. How can I get it to start on and stay on a particular station. Read about the audio unit in the manual but found nothing about the particular problem.

May not be a car setting... may be a spotify or carplay setting to turn this off.

Mine does the same. Always jumps to Carplay. In the end I turned off Carplay on my phone so it would stay on the previous FM station. Typical Apple… pick me, pick me.
I carry my own music on my iphone and I see no difference in Carplay or Bluetooth when listening to my own music. I have Boom on my iphone and it works automatically when I switch to Bluetooth and really increases the bass so I just stick with that.

Just a guess make sure your CarPlay is turned off before you start your car

Or simply direct access as an external device. As in not using carplay but connecting via cable and selecting the phone using the source button.

You don't have to be wise to know that discussion forums have had 'Search' functionality for decades.

Well, since you're back now... did you get it figured out?

For some reason, lots of people have no problem signing up and asking for help, but returning to the forums to provide an update on whether or not they fixed it - and what/how they did it - seems to be as difficult a task as finding a solution for world peace.

Mine automatically goes to Pandora as soon as AA connects, even if playing FM on start up. I can't remember where the setting is but you can set it so it doesn't automatically start playing Spotify or whatever streaming service you use on start up. I prefer it to come on but you should be able to disable it.

I believe you disable that in AA (or CarPlay) itself.

If I am logged OUT of the various apps (e.g., Spotify, Pandora), but did not disable anything in AA.

However, music via AA won't start up. My DH always defaults to SiriusXM.

The reason I did not return is that there was no definitive answer to my problem. I just got tired of searching and decided to just live with it.

The setting is not in the car... it is in AA or spotify (or both)... I don't use either, so can't tell you exactly where.

We don't just want people to report that something DID work or that something DID fix something. If what you found DIDN'T work, that helps others avoid repeating the same thing and expecting a different outcome. Your findings are what people like to have reported back.
