Does Ford pass over scheduling 300A builds to prioritize higher profit "premium" builds?

Been waiting since June for my grabber blue 2024 GT 300A with 10A, PP,active exhaust to get scheduled. I dont want to spend $5k for stuff I care nothing about. Not even a 45 day email. Sales is no help. Ford chat is like South park cable company episode. I'm getting pissed. I tell a friend about it. He calls his ace ford salesman. Salesman tells him factory will snub lower profit customer builds for higher profit builds during the scheduling process. Can anyone confirm that?

I don’t think it’s as simple as all that, but my 7 year old Raptor buying experience strongly suggests that they process Leno & influencer orders FIRST, Press pool vehicles, second, Stealership allocation orders 3rd, custom orders 4th.

I’ve seen the Gen 2 and Gen 3 Raptor releases roll out exactly the same way, then the Raptor R - which Ford NEVER would have built if Ram hadn’t built the TRX, and the timeline of the RR release proves it.

The first 3 categories are always... ALWAYS fully optioned so they can generate good reviews and build sales momentum.

That and the chaotic, unordered way in which they process allocations just makes it all the more random.

I don’t know, but I ordered my 401a GT pp active exhaust, magnaride car on April 18 and it was not finished until aug 29.

You might have just missed the boat with ordering in June. Given my car taking just over 4 months, yours would be October at the earliest and given MY 25 starts production on Nov 4, I don’t think yours is happening.

I too ordered a 300a on 6/7/24 with PP, AE, NPP, MT and it wasn’t built. No communication from ford except those useless 45 day emails. My salesman was not a great communicator either. I found out the 2024 were balanced out on Tuesday 9/24 and still no email from ford letting me know my order was cancelled. I kind of saw the writing on the wall with their supply issues and not being able to paint a roof black (WTF) and found a 2024 at a dealer with my options and bought it. I didn’t want to pay the 2025 prices. You may want to see if a dealer somewhere else in the country has one. I was lucky my car was only 270 miles away so I jumped on a flight and drove her down.

Why not just search inventory?
Inventory search only good to 100 miles. Please share If you know of a way to do it farther. I completeld the (email dealer for search form) and they won't reply.

I just put in zip codes of areas as far as i am willing to travel. Takes a little longer but is easy to do.

I live near charlotte and searched to atlanta, tampa, jacksonville, dc, baltimore, nashville...etc..

I ordered my 24' 300a GT PP 10R80 Red Calipers on June 17th and it was finished on September 18th so I don't think Ford does what the salesperson said.
And I seriously doubt that a salesperson at the dealer level really knows what happens at the Ford corporate level regarding ordering 😉

#MeToo. I also used Auto Trader listings, which have a 200 mile max radius from the search zip code and... the pricing data was a bit more accurate.

Actually I have it on good authority (Facebook) that the head of scheduling for Ford peruses these forums. Anyone bitching about the process and how long it's taking gets immediately sent to the back of the line. :cwl:
That's some funny shit!
