Damn man; black cars look good in the shade!!! (IYKYK)!!

Congrats!!

Looks like I'm not the only one with a new toy (on the way in my case).

What tires are you swapping to? I thought these Trefeo were supposed to be pretty grippy sticky?

I'm going to set a calendar reminder to touch base with you NEXT summer and see how your cleaning experience went!

Are you saying Iā€™m throwing shade on my new Mustang? :-)
seriously though, youā€™re preaching to the choir. This is my 3rd Mustang, and 8th black vehicle.
Not counting the side by side, I have 2 bikes, one is black, the black Raptor and now the Dark Horse.

Iā€™d have loved to gone with vapor blue, but couldnā€™t locate one I fully liked/wanted. Ditto dark matter grey. I might have even gone with a Ginger Dark Horse but I couldnā€™t find one available at MSRP or under. This one was significantly under MSRP, recent build, 5 miles on the odometer... It was hard to not consider this Mustang seriously.

Man, I have not even gotten that far yet. Iā€™ve got shocks and a shock controller to install on my Rap, plus, not for nothing but youā€™ve got a few crack dealers ... enablers ... supporting vendors tempting me ... NOT that Iā€™d mention any names like @Project6GR Wheels or @SteedaTech because Iā€™m not one to drop names...

Next summer will probably be the 2nd cleaning due to the year round drought restrictions on water use here. Iā€™m probably going to need to sink a well, but thatā€™s a next year problem.
I do have access to reverse osmosis water I use for brewing so Iā€™m hopeful I can cut out the dry time with it.
Weā€™re grading on a scale here, the bikes take about 30 minutes if Iā€™m really taking my time.
The Raptor takes me about 3 HOURS if Iā€™m lucky. I remember one time I got up early to start on it at my last house, got all the way through wash and dry, half way through the wax and out comes my neighbor with his riding mower, blowing up a dust storm that would have been visible on weather radar.

Hopefully I can get this one clean in under 2 hours wash and wax.

Looks like the dealer forgot to put on the fender pieces for the HP package.

They may have missed/forgot the underbody pieces also.
What fender pieces and underbody pieces are you referring to?? I need to know if mine is missing anything!

Wonder if @DFB5.0 is a member here. Looks like he is!!! This is the guy I pay attention to for my detailing needs. Check on that water type as it may leave residue?

The fender should have a black trim piece just like in the red box above attached with tape (3M or whatever)

The underbody stakes have 3 fins on each side

They are, but you'll be lucky to get a few thousand miles out of them ...

I'm used to that. I have Nitto 555 RIIs on the rear of my current Mustang. Probably about 7000km on them now and they are getting a little light.

Had my DH ceramic coated (body, wheels + brake calipers, and glass). With my Active 2.0 pressure washer, MTM SGS gun, MTM PF22.2 foam cannon, and my Dewalt blower with a stubby nozzle, I get it done in under an hour. No need to wax!

How does this work on your rims? This is one area I have always had issues with!
Works great for everything that is ceramic coated. Wheels were ceramic coated with IGL EcoCoat wheel - they removed the tire & wheel assemblies, cleaned them, coated not only the face of the wheel but the inside of the hoop. Also ceramic coated my brake calipers.

Now:
#TwoLessprius

Itā€™s been 23 years since I traded my ā€™97 Cobra for a 2001 Lightning. I still miss the Lightning... Anyway, I donā€™t think Iā€™ve been in another Mustang since. Not that I donā€™t like or didnā€™t want one, I just didnā€™t find my way back to one. The ā€™97 was a good ride. Open tracked several times, signed off to solo on both Summit Point circuits.

almost 5k under MSRP of 73,280. A10, recaros, handling package.
Flew to Waco, TX, and headed east into the hinterlands. Did a brief test drive, made a few mental notes.
1) damn this rides rough
2) whoa. this thing is LOUD.

Got back and took pictures, started inspecting. Tires were at 42 psi, as expected, I had them correct the t/p while fixing the hood. found hood scratches so they took a shot at correcting them and looks like they did to me. They were very light but work best done by someone not me. No surprises at the stealership by way of $$$, but I think they werenā€™t accustomed to bank financing, there was definitely some head scratching, but my bank hand held them. 2nd biggest personal check Iā€™ve written for the downpayment, 3rd is the Raptor downpayment.

Sync 4 is a bit of a steep learning curve for me, for sure. Rap is a 2017, wifeā€™s Lincoln is a 2020 so all the options available is a work in progress. The sales lady was a recent add and isnā€™t very Ford literate. Lots of questions went unanswered, and she didnā€™t know about a lot of the setup, etc. I managed to get FordPass connected before leaving- big win. Wifeā€™s Lincoln was a major PITA to get working on Lincoln Way.

After getting the hood straight, and handholding the finance guy through how he was going to get the money, I went through Waco and headed south. Ride was much improved at 33psi.

DARN. THE. LUCK. fastest way back was toll road TX130/45. Aka, the highest signed speed limit in the USA.
Well... OK. I think the average in the 85mph section was 90-95mph. I did keep kind of legal. Ish.

It was 104 outside when I left and at one point I just turned the radio completely down to zero. Then I dumped onto a Farm to Market road signed at 55 with some respectable curves. I used the paddles here and manually shifted.

I like it. I think Iā€™ll keep it. šŸ˜Ž
Congrats on the new Dark Horse! Looks great ! I think we can make it look just a tad bit better ;)
