Is the Mustang before tax really cheaper in Canada or am I missing something?
The Mustang GT Premium starts from 47.000 US Dollars in the USA
The Mustang GT Premium starts from 56.000 Canadian Dollars which is equivalent to 42.000 US Dollars.
That's a difference of 5000 US Dollars!
I know that the taxes in Canada are higher than in the US (In General), they have a 5% goods and sales tax (GST) and a Provincial tax which depend on the State you live, but most of them are around 10% and only Alberta has 0%. The total amount of tax on a car in Canada is around 12-15%
The national average of tax on a car in the USA is 5% (depending on the state you live in), where also a few states have 0% sales tax.
