Has anyone else had issues with the infotainment screen blanking out on startup? I have had it do this 5 or 6 times. It will be blank when I start and then will come on after 3 or 4 minutes. I have also had the audio totally stops working for a week and then it was normal again. The latest was my GPS failed. It said it was loading for more than 40 minutes and finally said it needed go to the dealer. When the system totally failed I made an appointment, but it was a month away. By then it was working normally and i figured I would be told there was nothing they could do so I cancelled. Now I am back to waiting to get an appointment to bring it in and the GPS has started working again. This time it is going in anyway. With only 4100 miles this seem a little ridiculous.

Anyone else having any of these issues?

Next time this happens, get a video of it. Since the problem is intermittent, as you can imagine, techs will not be excited about fixing this - neither would I. Every bit of evidence you can provide would help.

In addition to the video, if you can, download / install FORSCAN. Check for diagnostic trouble codes when the issue is happening. I’ve not seen this in my ’24, but others have definitely reported it. I have sporadically seen this with my ’17 Raptor, once recently because I got impatient and tried to interact with sync while it was booting up. Bad idea. Screen was stuck, audio controls were stuck on a station I rarely listened to, which played song, after song I disliked or hated until I got to the destination and shut down. screen was fine once it powered down all the way and got a clean startup.

Your symptoms sound more prevalent.

Good afternoon. If you'd like to, go ahead and send us a private message with your VIN and dealer info and we’ll look into this infotainment concern. Thanks!

The first thing "I" would do, is reset the info-center. The instructions are on page 429 of the manual.

You will have to reenter the owner data, but that doesn't take very long.

This happened to me last weekend. Shut down the car and restarted, screen returned to normal. Luckily I was in the driveway, was checking out android auto, tried to listen to some music and the screen went blank but the sound still worked. Waiting to see if mine is effected by the recall and will document/video if/when it happens again. Only had this car a month. Darn it.

That is actually a different issue. This as the OP describes is the Right screen (Radio/AC). This is a known and common issue with the Ford Sync systems. I have had it on 4 other vehicles. It would usually fix after a restart for me.

Oh okay, I guess the recall itself is talking about the main display.
