I bought a 2024 Mustang GT.

I got exactly what I wanted - well almost exactly - as I would have liked the active valve exhaust but I can solve that with a Valvetronic aftermarket. It is friggin' fast. It looks great. It handles really well. It is technologically advanced. Most of all when I walk towards it my worries start to fade. When I hear it start, my excitement builds. At a stop light I can feel the rumble through the seat and while not vain I like the looks of envy and comments made from the vehicle owners around me that happen EVERY drive I take in city traffic - EVERY - time. Driving it is never tiring, its a joy. When it shifts I love the back pressure bark - it's music.

Does it fit four people? For an hour's cruise it will but when did anyone ever think a Mustang was a daily use 4 seater? Really? If you want one of those buy a Dodge Caravan and get a couple of extra seats and a stow and go bin as a bonus. The Mustang is a beautiful two seat rocket, period.

Is is expensive? Everything is expensive. If someone can't afford a new Mustang don't whine - buy a used one. If you can't afford a used one - you are on the wrong Forum - find the Dodge Caravan forum. Will it become less expensive? In what universe does anyone expect that to happen?

Will they build a 4 seater Mustang GT? Never. Why would they. You can already get roomy and slow, think Dodge Caravan or roomy-ish and fast, think BMW, Audi, Genesis.....blah, blah, blah. You want one of those, you are on the wrong Forum.

Will they stop building it? Who the h3ll knows. As long as it sells enough to justify the line costs Ford will. BTW now that Gavin Newscum has the political life of a snow ball in a blast furnace and the idiocy of the lunatic fringe greens have been exposed so dramatically in Californication - and - the absolute fraud and stupidity of EVs has been exposed (from Europe to N.A. and all points in between) we are likely to see an EPA and CARB re-set and return to some form of normal. That's good for all performance vehicles and arguably our Mustangs.

In the meantime there are thousands of used and new Mustangs for us to enjoy, so let's celebrate the joy of owning them and not tilt at windmills of what ifs.

This is a Mustang Forum.

Best damn buyer intro I've read in awhile. You hit many points that I still feel after one full year of ownership. I still get the same thrill every time I approach it and the lights start pulsating as if it is saying, "here comes my owner, let's play" then you hit remote start and the sound is aggressively appealing. Always a blast to drive, even in stop and go traffic.

Are there better cars out there? Of course, is it expensive? depends on what you are expecting. Does it have QC issues? what doesn't. Could some things be improved? Of course, nothing is perfect.

I knew what I was getting when I ordered mine, it is a Ford Mustang GT. I did not expect anything more or less. It has exceeded all my expectations and have absolutely zero regrets. Brand new custom built V8 American muscle car for $50K ... a bargain IMO Grateful to be able to own one!

i never buy because of build quality. i buy because they are easy to get in and out. minimal blind spots and a blast to drive! performance pack w/magnaride is my only requirement. its a perfectly balanced car as far as im concerned!
i add a little wider wheel setup and push it hard!

I bought my 2024 GT (premium, performance, active exhaust, etc..) six months ago, and it has completely exceeded my expectations. Back in the 1980s, I purchased a brand-new fox body 1984 GT—the first year they brought back the 4-barrel carburetor—and absolutely loved that car. In 1985, I started a family, and after 40 years (and a few caravans along the way), my kids are all grown, and I’m enjoying my Mustang GT now more than ever—even more than I did in my 20s.

I wholeheartedly agree with the OP's assessment. I guess I qualify since I also own a 2023 Chrysler Pacifica (Dodge Caravan) also. The post made me laugh but also made me realize that I do have the van for it's stow-n-go features. Van owners need love too. ;^)

@P2 and @WhiteShadow626 ..... my brother in law has a Dodge Caravan. It is awesome for what he needs if for. It's roomy, (for all the kiddie crap he needs to haul) and is inexpensive for what he gets and quite reliable. He has two two little girls. When they grow up they both want Mustangs. I am trying to help raise them right. LOL ..... BTW a Pacifica is a pretty damn decent vehicle....a truly upscale hauler!

I had a 2020 dodge scat pack charger but sadly it got stolen a few months back and I decided to go with a 2024 mustang GT, it's a great car just lacking with aftermarket support.

Not a dig at you.
I bought a 1983 Mustang GT new with a 4-barrel carb. It was rated175 HP. I think the 1984 was rated Higher HP (possibly 200 HP)
I have owned the 1983, 1987, 1998, 1999 Cobra, 2013, 2019 and 2024 currently. All GTs except the 99 Cobra. Still enjoy the Mustang. My 2024 has the premium, performance, active exhaust, etc. also.
Also have a 2021 C8, different animal. I enjoy both vehicles.

I concur, however, I must admit that I got spoiled with our mild winter last year when I was able to drive her at least a few days per month on reasonable days to take her out. This year, she's been in the Garage since mid-November and short of starting her every few weeks, it's killing me to not have driven her for nearly 2 months. She's undercover so I don't have to see that sad face every time I walk past her to drive one of the "winter vehicles". :)

That's funny...... You are correct. My memory isn't what it used to be. My Mustang was a 1983 model, still on the lot and purchased in early 84. It too was a 4bbl rated at 175 HP which is a bit more than half of the 6 cylinder Eco boost's 315HP in 2024. I need to dig up an old picture. It was black with the (leaky) T-Tops and looked great. I was so excited because, coming out of the late 1970s, there wasn’t much worth driving. Automakers were making cars lighter with minimal horsepower until the 1983 Mustang GT came along.

Know the feeling, took delivery 1/24 last year and drove the entire winter. We had one light snow and they didn't even need to salt.

This year shes been heavily garaged. Got out last week, had a day the roads were cleared and dry. This thing runs so good with 20 degree air intake.

I have a winter vehicle too, though I bought this thing to drive, so unless the roads are covered with slop, I will take her out. Not to mention remote start and heated everything it is total comfort
