Non Active Exhaust Tip Replacement

Wanted to ask how large of a replacement exhaust tip will fit in the stock cutouts on the non active exhaust with just the single exhaust tip on each side? I saw that several aftermarket exhausts had 4 inch exhaust tips, but will 4.5 inch exhaust tips fit? would prefer not to cutout the stock valance, but it needs better looking exhaust than the stock ones. thanks!
