Hey guys, i was wondering if there was any reason that we don’t get remote start and remote rev in Europe on our 10 Speed Mustangs? Is there a way to bypass this?

Probably for the same reasons they are arresting people for thought crimes in the UK.

That one is all in your mind ... Or have you been listening to Elon again or smoking whatever he's on.
There are plenty of articles covering arrests and sentencing for posting or tweeting things that the UK government says you can't. I can't post them here as they are off topic and I'm not getting banned for violating forum rules, but a quick search will find plenty.

With most keyless ignition (stupid term) vehicles to start the engine the key must be inside the vehicle
Not true. Every car I've owned with keyless ignition can be remotely started.

Does it allow you to put it in drive after a remote start but the key isn't in the vehicle?
Not sure what the default is, but we used to enable this in our F150s using FORScan to NOT allow the shifter to be moved if the fob was not in the vehicle, even if it was started normally with the fob in the vehicle. I think it was affectionately known as "police mode". If an officer left a running vehicle, they didn't want someone to be able to jump in and take off.

Remote start isn't much of a thing this side of the pond, remote running the climate control on ev's and hybrids is a thing. My old bmw I could schedule a time for the interior fans to run.

I believe idling an unoccupied vehicle is heavily frowned neigh illegal but never really prosecuted on. Example being de-icing, every year there will be click bait stories about it.

As for the other thing ... Posting it is more than just thinking it, and yes inciting riots will get you prison time this side of the pond.
It appears you need to do more research to understand what 'thought crime' means. It's not just what you are thinking.

I don't remember the reason but is was already the case with S550s. It seems legal according to Ford in Europe (https://www.de.ford.ch/hilfe/anleit...europa-nicht-verboten-fahrzeuge-fernzustarten) at least for the remote start, maybe remote rev is not allowed 🤷‍♂️ or as it is often with the european models we don't get some specific tech.
Nobody really knows why Ford hasn't added remote start to european cars. It's just deactivated in the software, so with an unlock and new key with the right button you could readd it by tuners. With the encryption of S650 it could be more difficult though. It should still work over the app though

But at least there is no law the remove remote start for europe. GMs european models keep their remote start

Indeed according to the link I posted the feature is visible in the menu of the S550 but not working. I wonder how it goes with the app and the S650, since I don't have my car yet cannot test. Maybe some of the lucky early owners will test it 😎

That’s what’s so odd, i have remote started my Dark Horse numerous times with FordPass without any problems. It’s just missing the button on the key, that’s what was so strange to me.

Yup a feature they did not put on the key but is available in the app it seems. So you can not only remote start but use the funny remote rev option?

Maybe it is you that needs to update your knowledge?

And your problem is? We have laws, if you break them you risk prosecution and punishment.
