I ordered mine on July 20 with the 60th anniversary package and I am still waiting for the confirmation email. My guy at the dealership said its normal a wait a few weeks especially when changing over model years.
What colour and options you go with?

Love the look of the 60th package. Congrats

Be very careful as some dealers might not allocation until a certian date. You should get a conformation email from Ford in a very short period of time. Your dealer needs to be up front with you when placing an order as well as any add ons so no surprizes when closing the deal.

Thanks and its race red fastback with as many options I could get with it. Also was in contact with my dealership since the April unveiling. It is the second largest Ford dealership in the state so they were told by Ford they would get 2-4 of them. Even though I might not have a confirmation email yet, I had an allocation for it.

VINs are not cut until Ford has committed to a build and scheduled a vehicle for production, something that might not happen until months after an order has been placed.

Order banks opened earlier. Great. As part of the negotiation process, confirm with the dealer where they stand as far as allocations, for MY25s. All vehicles require an allocation, a place on the assembly line. Allocations are distributed by Ford to dealers through regional managers.

If you're comfortable of the on-going process with your current dealer, place an order. You should receive a confirmation receipt from Ford within one to two business days. Then, the wait...

If you're not comfortable with your current dealer or sales person, stop, go home and re-group. Try another dealer.

Until the car is scheduled to be built, you'll not receive any insight from Ford. Nothing.

When Ford commits to the build, they'll schedule a date of production and then cut a VIN.

The date of production can move around. You'll get update e-mails if it does. Other Members here publish information on constraints and line schedules.

After all that, it'll take time to ship, receive, inspect and prep the car.

Your focus now should be securing an allocation for a MY25 build at the best price. No dealer add-ons (nitrogen in the tires, special protectants, warranties, tint). You just want the car.

Once the order is in, you can research anything you'd consider doing to the car once received. Companies are good at providing estimates for any number of products and services.

You're excited for a VIN and a '25 build. That's cool. I'd recommend a dose of Chillax. You're considering a process that's going to take several months from start to finish. Be as antiseptic about the ordering and build process and possible. People are most prone to mistakes (accepting mark-ups, add-ons, stuff they don't need) when excited. Salespeople sense it and often take advantage of the phenomenon.

Play it cool, lock in a good/fair price and enjoy the wait. :sunglasses:

Disclaimer: I have no inside knowledge of the order process. However, from reading multiple threads on ordering for the S650 going back to March 2023 as well as my own experience, I would be somewhat concerned about not receiving a confirmation email from Ford within a couple of days of placing the order. Especially with a couple people already commenting about having received a confirmation e-mail for their 2025 order, I would definitely question the dealer on whether they have actually submitted the order to Ford. I tried to place my 2024 order with a dealer local to me and they told me they could take the order, but Ford was not allowing them to submit them yet. This was after the order banks had opened. I said thank you then called a different dealer and placed an order. I had a confirmation email within a few hours of placing the order.

As I understand the process, placing of the order and confirmation receipt by email should occur once the order has been submitted to Ford, regardless of whether the dealer has an allocation for the build. The second part to the equation is whether or not they have an allocation. If they don’t, then the order will not be picked up for scheduling until an allocation becomes available. My dealer had an allocation for my 2024 and my VIN was assigned and build scheduled the day after I ordered. I realize that all depends on priority codes and option constraints, but my understanding is if the dealer has no allocation the order will just sit there until they do.

I have a copy of the Ford DORA (Dealer Order Receipt Achknowledgement), and it has my name on it, and a screen shot showing that it has my e-mail. I just spoke with the dealer and they said: "Vehicle Status Updates Will Not Be Emailed For Specialty Units At This Time (i.e. Shelby/Raptor Variants)". I'm assuming this includes the Dark Horse as well.

So fingers crossed that I am good! Just hoping that the handling pack track tires don't hold up production.
