Sync System doesn’t shut off immediately after opening doors

Hey everyone, about a month ago I picked up a GT Premium 401a, 10R80, AVE, and I’ve been having an issue when turning off the car and opening the doors. On every other Ford vehicle I have had (2 fusions and a 22 Mustang), the sync system along with the audio playing shuts off immediately upon opening the door (upon turning the door handle even). However my 2024 Mustang has a delay of about 3-6 seconds before the sync system and the audio stops playing and shuts off. Has anyone else had this issue, and did anything fix it? Is this just normal behavior. It seems extremely ghetto to have music playing when I open my car door because the system hasn’t shut off yet.

I’m on sync version 23306 if that helps at all. Thanks all!

Mine shut off immediately pre-updates. Now it does as you explain. It's "normal" until someone at Ford decides to do something about it, if ever.

did this update also introduce the motion sensor question and possibly move the prompt to the right side of the instrument cluster not the center anymore?

Motion for the alarm system? No, that has been around as long as I have had mine... Sept. 2023.

It's normal and it bugs me too. I'd prefer if the audio shut off immediately upon opening the driver's door. If someone figures out a way to set it to turn off with the doors I'd be thrilled to hear it.

I can’t see why a delay would be in place to begin with (and why an edit is possible in that case). Seems like it was added in an update likely as a bug. Whenever I get out my car right now I hold the door handle with the door shut so I don’t seem like an annoying asshole who’s playing their music for all to hear.

That right there is your problem. I don't give a shit what someone else thinks when I get out of my car ... or any other time, for that matter.

This is trivial... The radio shut's off before i put my second foot out the car.

If it was playing hard and loud for 3 full minutes i'd be angry...

Besides, i usually lower the volume before turning off the car so it doesn't spook me later...

I guess some people need to worry about more serious problems. Nothing is perfect in this world and having complaints that matter to very few won't help Ford make more important improvements.

By the time I shut the car off, put EB on, make sure car is in 1st. (or reverse) get my phone, open the door, the music is shut down. No biggie for me.

But you gotta open the door first, then do all that other stuff.
