What do these two terms mean in Ford speak?

• Dressing Period.
• Retail Scheduling Only.

I'm seeing Dressing Period being referenced when dealing with orders, modifications and scheduling. An order is in. The Dressing Period allows dealers to make changes to existing orders before everyone commits and the vehicle is scheduled for production. An order might exist, but constraints will prevent it from being built. The Dressing Period could allow the dealer to work within existing parts/options limitations to get the vehicle committed to, scheduled and built. They are dressing, or cleaning up orders and the schedule.

Retail Scheduling Only involves customer orders only. At the start of the Model Year, dealers (dealer stock orders) are first, so showrooms and lots can be filled. Seeing as how we are near the end of the MY, Ford is most likely prioritizing all customer orders ahead of any stock order.
