They said the Dark Horse was such a poor seller - no one wants to buy it and no one wants to sell it. They had an automatic sitting out at the front gathering rain drops and sun right at the street. They had the GT automatic inside the showroom.
High interest rates popped the car bubble and now a $12k track package is sitting on the same lot as a $5k discounted GT. I'd imagine the general buyer isn't looking to spend $17k+ more for a track-ready GT.

Performance PackageOption Cost
MagneRide w/ 2.3L High Performance Package$5225 (versus Ecoboost Premium)
Magneride w/ GT Performance Package$6745 (versus GT Premium)
Dark Horse (700A)$11955 (versus GT Premium)

thanks for the info! I bookmarked that page so will keep an eye on it. I thought that 25 order banks should be opening soon.
I usually go here to check out the latest info.

FWIW the ordering guides don't always come out at the same time as when the ordering banks open. It doesn't make sense but it has happened to me in the past with Explorer and Mach-E. I asked my sales person if they were tracking anything new for the 2025 Mustangs and they said no other than possibly a re-style/refresh for the Explorer.

I'm thinking we can sort of predict the new colors by looking at what is currently offered for 2024 and deducing what they probably WON'T replace.

White is staying, obviously. So is black. Of the two shades of red, at least one will stay, as well as at least two of the three shades of blue (especially seeing has how Grabber Blue and Vapor Blue are popular). There are three silver/gray colors with Iconic Silver, Carbonized Grey, and Dark Matter Grey. I'd wager that silver and Dark Matter Grey stay, with Carbonized being a toss-up. That leaves Splash Yellow, which I have a hard time seeing remain if I'm honest.

That means these colors are more likely to be replaced:

Splash Yellow
Atlas Blue
Rapid Red
Carbonized Grey (least likely, but possible)

My guess is at least two of these for sure will be replaced, and I would bet those would be Splash Yellow and Atlas Blue. I think Rapid Red is slightly more likely to remain, but might also go. And Carbonized Grey will likely remain, or it will get replaced with another of the many shades of gray Ford has done in the past.

If you replace Splash Yellow, it's likely with orange. If Atlas Blue is gone, it's probably replaced with a limited run color for the 60th anniversary. Rapid Red would likely give way to another shade of red or a limited run 60th color.
You've basically just listed my favourite colours in order of preference, so having just convinced myself that now is the time to buy my perfect Mustang (but not having yet spoken to my wife about my plans!), I have a terrible sense of dread that I'll get to the point of ordering and my perfect yellow Mustang will have disappeared.

More bizarrely, I'm not sure anyone in the UK has actually received a car yet, so to remove colours now feels premature for RHD markets, who haven't really had the opportunity to even see a real S650 in the metal yet. We shall see...

Oof I should have put money on this. I was only off on which grey would end up going.

Yeah they got rid of Atlas Blue which is what I was thinking of ordering. Also raised the prices by $3k, and deleted the wireless charging pad (which is no biggie to me). So basically $50k for a base GT with bare bones options. That's going to be a no for me dawg!

Yup, I predicted Atlas Blue in my original post. The charging pad kind of sucks. The phone gets hot and it always disconnects/reconnects. I still like the option of the feature though.

It’s a shame they didn’t replace Atlas with another darker blue or maybe a dark green.
The wireless pad in my Tesla isn’t good either. It’s inherent with all wireless charging as it is very inefficient in general.

There might be improvements but there are a lot of losses in the form of heat with that type of charging
