Wing flap gurney ?

Hi,

i want to add a wing flap gurney on my gt 2024 with the performance package.

When i look online i can barely find 2 models only in carbon at a high price..
Do you know where to find an afordable alternative mate black or gloss black ?

It's funny to find complete wing with flap at lower price than only the flap..

I'm in Canada, Québec.

If you’re going to the track, then “buy once, cry once”. If you’re just buying it for looks:

Don’t.
Straight from the owner’s manual:

"The rear Gurney flap must be removed for on-road driving.
Your vehicle may include a removable Gurney flap in the luggage compartment. The Gurney flap greatly enhances high speed stability and performance on the track. It is recommended that you use the Gurney flap at all tracks featuring high speed corners and can be used at any track regardless of cornering speeds.
You could benefit from the removal Gurney flap to improve low speed balance on smaller tracks with maximum cornering speeds below 70 mph (112 km/h). We recommend that you attach the Gurney flap for all track events and carefully assess both the vehicle's condition and your capability before removal.

Note: The Gurney flap comes with longer size bolts to install it onto the rear spoiler. Do not use the longer size bolts without the Gurney flap attached or damage to the spoiler may occur."

there are decorative spacers that distribute the strain on the gurney flap. I bet he had them too tight. noting wrong with having options though. MIne came witha proper flap like the one shown and is solid.

Just out of curiosity does anyone know WHY Ford recommends the removal of the gurney flap for on road use? The way they word it almost makes it sound like it isn't street legal for some reason.

Outside of maybe eating at fuel economy a bit I can't see it making any changes to street driving and handling that would necessitate its removal for regular road use.

I installed the matte carbon fiber Nytop Gurney flap and I think it looks great. Yes it pricey but you won’t see anyone posting that it doesn’t fit. It’s PERFECT! They have the polyurethane on sale right now.

drag and mpg decrease other than that i drive with mine all the time no issues.
