Seems to need the piping from the metal piping from the air box to the throttle assemblies would heat up quicker, plus the air boxes look open topped and would draw heat from the engine compartment. Just what it looks like.Gotta say I’m pretty impressed with the looks and build quality of their cold air intakes. Haven’t driven it enough to form an opinion on performance gains but I gotta say it turned out great!
I guess the hood of the car is hypothetically the top of the box to close it in more
I believe the same, aluminum is a heat conductor, absorbs heat quickly but can dispel heat quickly too. I'd prefer the filters draw air from below vs above.
Agreed, performance may be even worse with hood closed on a hot day
Would be nice if they did something like this for the Whipple and Roush. In an assortment of colors and chrome and black chrome. But not so much chrome.
