I've had a VIN since shortly after I placed the order. Since then my production date has moved from mid-June to now mid-Aug, and who knows if that date will stick around. Enjoy your M2!

Our order has also been pushed back into mid August. At this point I’m kind of hoping it gets delayed into a 2025 order. The depreciation hit on a late production 2024 that will soon be replaced by the 2025 model year kind of hurts. Probably wishful thinking.

I have a 21 Z4 M40 and the ‘stang was a heavy decision over a 850m but I’m keeping the Z so I will endure the constant rescheduling up to a point I just cancel the order.

My Dark Horse Premium...Ordered on 3/28/2023. Original production date was w/o 6/3/2024...then 6/10/2024...then 7/15/2024...now 8/5/2024. I do have a VIN, so I guess that's a positive?

Yes, I had read somewhere that Flat Rock plant was idled for 2 weeks in May and will be down the week of July 4th as well.

If the Build Date goes any farther ahead your 2024 Mustang will be a 2025 Mustang?

I guess the auto union only builds like 100 cars per month thanks to the new deal they struck with ford, guess this is going to be the new normal for car sales, might not be in business to long at this tread

Update-couple of days ago I got an email from ford saying my build date was pushed back to 8/12 and today I checked the tracker and it says build date is 8/19. At this rate, mine will be a MY25.

the real question is what are they doing at the plant besides not building cars? having tea and cake, a massage for coming into work on time??

Over the past day or two there was a cyberattack against CDK Global which provides software for thousands of dealerships managing parts and stock logistics. My local dealer has reverted to pen and paper invoicing. Not sure if the logistics would get messed up bad enough to affect factory build times but I can't help but feel these estimates being all wonky and getting pushed back for some and jumping ahead for others on the SAME day that everything went dark is a pretty weird coincidence.
