Meh. No one cares whether EVS THRIVE OR NOT. THEYRE A GREAT OPTION TO HAVE THOUGH.
‘BUT when a hyped SUV falls flat… no make that falls off a cliff, something is wrong.
is it because it’s an ev? Doubtful. Is it because it’s an suv - hardly. Those things sell like hotcakes.
could it possibly be that it has no real identity of its own and that slapping a Mustang sticker on it only serves to confuse things? It’s certainly a worthwhile hypothesis. The Mach e is a really nice looking suv-which is the big selling category. It’s also an ev - which has been the recent rage. But it doesn’t sell.
the branding then? Everyone wants an suv and plenty of folks want an ev. But nobody want to buy and parade around in a pretend Mustang.
even if you want to pretend that the branding didn’t hurt - you must admit that at very least it hasn’t helped.
the weirdos had their little experiment. It failed. Time for Smart people to run things And get on track.
prediction: if ford actually goes in this direction, the grocery getter will sell wel enough to generate some articles applauding the move… for a few months. Then it will tank And Ford will regret the experiment privately while acting like it’s “expected turbulence” in the market.
Mustang Nostradamus says “ just stop. Don’t do it and save yourselves years of embarrassment, IP BRAND DAMAGE, and financial issues.
