don't use armor all. It turns brown and slimy. Use something like 303 protectant. Much better.

I’ve never used this specific brake dust repellant, but you are referring to the wrong product. I have used another brand brake dust repellent and it worked but not as well as this article describes the Armor-All branded version.

I just read a recommendation in another thread to apply a quality ceramic coat on them and the dust will be easily cleaned off your wheels

That’s what a lot of people on here have done and it is probably the best method.

I had my rims sitting in the garage for 2 months before I mounted them and should have done that myself, but didn’t. I’ll probably pick a can of this up and try it in the future. Currently I applied Chemical Guys Wheel Guard Max Coat. It has been on there for 3 weeks and I haven’t been disappointed. A little goes a super long way. Probably a 3-4 year supply in the tub. We will see how it goes over time.

I've used the armor all brake dust repellent on four cars with Brembo brakes. I thought it did a good job of keeping the brake dust from sticking. The problem now is finding more of it. Before covid I bought it at Walmart for $8 a can. After covid Walmart no longer had it and I could only find it on Amazon for $15 a can. Lately I can't find it anywhere even though it is still on the armor all website.

Short of taking your wheels off and detailing them with ceramic, a good wheel cleaner, wheel brush and high pressure wand is all you can rely on. I hate cleaning wheels before a show.

Speaking from experience, don't waste your money and time applying this product.

I used the Autoglym version of this product and it was basically useless, it didn't even make the water bead. These might come in an aerosol for "easy" application, but you still have to buff them, which will be time consuming on something like the Performance Pack Wheels.

For while, I was using a specific paste wax/sealant from Poorboys. This stuff smells delightful and does help, to a degree, in keeping the wheels cleaner, and also easier to clean. But again, the time and effort required is not worth the limited result. I'm sure you can imagine how long it would take to do four of those PP wheels...................

If you are looking for something quick and easy, in addition to the ability to coat the barrel without removing the wheel, something like Carpro Hydr02 Lite, Gyeon Wet Coat or 303 Spray & Rinse Ceramic Sealant will be your friend.

CARPRO HydrO2 Lite | Car Supplies Warehouse – Car Supplies Warehouse
Gyeon Q2M WetCoat | Car Supplies Warehouse – Car Supplies Warehouse
303 Spray & Rinse Ceramic Sealant – Quick Ceramic Coating – Water-Activated SiO2 Formula – 6 Months of Protection – Water Repellent Ceramic Spray – Easy to Use – 16 Oz (30262) : Amazon.com.au: Automotive

These products are spread and activated via a stream of water. Wash the wheel as normal and while still dripping wet, apply 4 to 5 sprays and rinse immediately with a strong stream of water from a garden hose or pressure washer. Easy as that. I do this every second or third wash to keep them protected.

But all of the above pale in comparison to a proper ceramic coating. And in that I mean a high-temperature wheel specific ceramic coating, a regular paint coating won't last very long on wheels which are subjected to THE most contamination on a vehicle. Products like Carpro DLUX, Gtechniq C5 and Gyeon Rim are all candidates. But the one you want is Armour Detail Supply High-Temp Wheel Coating.

So, why this coating in particular. Unlike a most wheel coatings, the ADS coating is super slick and hydrophobic. It will also have much better real-world longevity. I have this on multiple vehicles now and it makes cleaning wheels so brilliantly easy, while also being slick and glossy. I find that 99% off the brake dust simply rinses off the wheel, no agitation required.

This is one of my cars with it....................................

I have even coating a lawn mower with it, because, why not...........................makes that easier to clean too.

Only thing about all these products is that it leaves a nasty film all over the wheel and tire. Yeah it appears all shiny on the tire but then it attracts dirt and dust. Also super pain in the but to rotate tires or any work that you have to take tires off for because all that grime/film gets all over your hands and arms. As someone who works in a shop for a living, I absolutely cannot stand to see that stuff on tires. When I detail my car and customers on the side, I just spray wheel and tire down with bleach white tire cleaner. Let it sit a minute or two then hit it with a wand/pressure washer until it’s all cleaned up. Makes the tire black and clean. Helps with the wheel cleaner afterwards as well
