Hey mate, I just put in a order for front rock guards from ZL1 add-ons. They do ship to Australia at least.
These ones?
https://zl1addons.com/en-au/collect...650-deluxe-rock-guards?variant=43446818799787

Have also found;
https://www.mystangmods.com.au/hustle-performance-no-drill-splash-guards-mud-flap
Most S650 parts have been "Coming Soon" for over 12 months with this mob.
People with money burning a hole in their pockets will only wait so long.
They also don't return calls or respond to the Contact Us form.
I can only assume customer service is a very low priority for them.

From RokBlokz in the USA, "Splash Guards"
https://rokblokz.com/products/ford-mustang-splash-guards-2024

And their "Mud Flaps"
https://rokblokz.com/products/ford-mustang-rally-mud-flaps-2024

They ship here!

(RokBlokz and ZL1AddOns are within $10 of each delivered.)

A good comparison between the two RokBlokz styles on offer:

The only concern with these is:

"DOESN'T FIT:
Vehicles equipped with the Handling Package & Dark Horse Models "

I'm not sure what US "Handling Pack" stuff we do get and don't get that has an immediate effect on mounting flaps.

Those deluxe ones are what I got for front only. They should be here next week (ordered a couple days ago with their current sale).

Damned if you do, damned if you don't.
Another 1st World dilemma.

All these mudflaps are much the same, and create one hell of a mud trap, especially at the rear.

I do like the idea of potentially minimising stone chips with them though.

Not sure why they can't supply black stainless screws, like Flow Designs do with their number plate brackets.

@5.0ALM Have you installed the diyvan kit yet?
Did you look at those gaps behind the wheels and do you think it's truely such a big problem?

I've lined up (Shamed lol) my Dealer to patch those up at Dealer Delivery - no extra charge.

I suggested Roofing Repair material.

Not yet, but this has been on the agenda for some weeks now.

I wish i had gotten onto this on day #1.
As you'll see in above posts, we've had a bit rain here lately, absolutely pissing down now, as I type. :curse:
The wheels flick up all sorts of debris and mess.
And wet roads convert light dust that might otherwise not stay in there into a heavier mud that tends to stick.

TBH, I'm sure how to approach this.

The install of the DIYVan (and similar) solution is rather straightforward, but I want to ensure all the debris is out first.

Perhaps get the vacuum cleaner with crevice tool in there first.

Passenger side (that's the LHS if any 'Mericans are viewing! :giggle: )

We can already see a collection of foreign matter in there.

I was planning on taking advantage of my driveway being on an incline (which is a PITA any other time), and reversing up so the Mustang is facing downwards.

Following the vacuum, giving a squirt with the garden hose, and letting gravity do the rest.
Hopefully, the water runs back out towards the front of the vehicle, flushing out any foreign matter with it.

Pressure washer makers no sense, because you'd want lots of water all of a sudden at low pressure.

The cars start to level off at the top of the driveway, but the be incline could be handy for this.

I'm not sure if the water would simply move the debris into a worse position.
And no chance of taking the wheel off for better access like this.

Or.
I could keep it in the garage on a level surface and remove one wheel at a time for better access and forgo the use of water.

As you can see, I have no answer at the moment.
But the longer it is left, the bigger the problem.

Curious to know how they will tackle this.

I would encourage others to even use gaffer tape in the interim.
Not sure why I didn't think of that 5 weeks ago.
Until you have a more permanent solution at your finger tips.

I've had my head in there (and cameras!), evicted what little debris had taken up residence on both sides yesterday, and today have fitted the DIYVan fender liner patch to the passenger side.

Drivers side patch being fitted tomorrow.

This video on the fender liner holes is becoming bigger than Ben Hur.
I didn't realise how much footage I shot.

Inspection & clean Saturday, passenger side panel fitted Sunday, drivers side panel fitted today, and need to re-shoot both intro and outro tomorrow.

Just under an hour of multi-cam sequences synced up on the timeline, ready to butcher. :giggle:

I'll have to get a chainsaw into this, and cut it right back. :computerrage: :wait:

I can lend you one if you need. Actually, scratch that, never ever lend a chainsaw, ask me how I know.

Fender Liner Hole Panel Kit

It irks me somewhat that you spend $90k on car and have to do something like this.

In this video, I peel back the fender liners on the GT to see how much debris has collected in there via these fender liner holes after traveling 1,000km on sealed roads.

If you drive on unsealed roads, expect to find a lot more up in there than what I did with mine.

If you're on the fence about doing this, I'd consider doing it sooner, than later.

After a clean out with the vacuum and brushes on both sides, the DIY Van fender liner hole panels are fitted. Only LHS side is shown - simply repeat the procedure on the driver's side.

I purchased this kit whilst in the USA 5 months ago, but these can be purchased from DIY Van directly and delivered to Australia...

This is a relatively long video at 17 minutes (cut down from an hours worth of multi-cam footage and 2 days in editing) , but I want to show viewers everything that was involved.

I'm quite pleased with the shots I got from underneath that show the patch rather well.
