I would go with the 4.09's if you are going to do that. The 3.73's are geared a little lower but not enough, it would still be geared pretty high with the manual Transmission.
I definitely would not start it and Idle it, If I can't drive it, it just sits with a battery tender. Mine usually sits for 5 months without starting.
I do fill the tires to the max inflation rate on tire sidewall, this helps a little with flat spotting. Other than that I just make sure it is...
Have to totally agree, without the manual, the car loses it's appeal (to me), if all I could get was an auto I would be looking at different options all together, The manual allows me to be engaged with the car in a way that I truly enjoy.
Congrats on the new Mustang, hope you get to enjoy for...
I usually switch them from side to side, gives me an excuse to clean them really good while off. Not sure if it does any good, but doesn't hurt that's for sure.
You are correct, times change, and for myself and maybe some others it would change our whole reason to own a sports muscle car. May as well look at electric if all I want is fast. Just saying that for some of us the manual is very important.
Sadly if that does happen, I will no longer be in the Mustang market, I would have to look elsewhere. I personally don't give a damn if the Auto is a little quicker. To me the fun is rowing gears and feeling the engagement of driving with the manual. Fortunately for me there will be lightly used...
Damn, that is one sharp looking vehicle. I imagine you are really going to enjoy it. The tighter gearing of the Tremec over the MT Transmission is worth it alone. I'm betting your gonna have on big sh!t a$$ grin on your face when you get to really drive it. :like::clap:
Since mine is not a daily driver, and I have no urge to have an auto Mustang, I definitely am sticking to a manual. I really enjoy the extra connection I feel with the manual.
I was responding to and trying to get this back on topic which you and post 4 were off on the A10 instead of the MT-82 which this thread was about.
The op never once mentioned he was interested in the A10 or any auto tranny
Mine was also liked. My answer was just as valid as yours was. At least I was referring to a manual Transmission and why I preferred to have one vs the automatic which the op never even mentioned in his original post.
Dealer Ceramic Coating is one of the biggest scams going. As others have said, go to a detail shop that is reputable and you will get a way better job for not much more
Want and need doesn't really apply to the Mustang for 99% of the people. Very few if any of us need a mustang to drive (not like we may need a pickup truck), we all buy them to enjoy, and the the handling pkg and other goodies adds to the enjoyment for most of us.
