Luckily, you don't need to take the bumper off... but I installed the new reverse light and started feeding up the new wires/harnesses. Also took out the subwoofer. Just to find out that, yes, I had the wrong connectors for the tailights.
My original post about this is here:
Form Lighting...
Not the sharpest picture, but the sun was low and lighting up the covers. Unless you knew the real rear Brembos should be on the front side, you’d never know.
Yes, that!
But no creaking (from the movement of the brake pedal). You can lightly push the brake with your fingers and hear it (and you can feel it). And like I mentioned earlier, it does it even when NOT pushing the pedal. Meaning, when adaptive cruise does the braking, it does it. Or when...
Breaks work perfectly. That’s why I’m not too worried either. It’s just annoying. Would still love to see a video if you have the time to post one.
Finally! Somebody understands. Can you post a video of you lightly (with your hand) pushing down the pedal?
I slowly push it (and “swoosh”, like an actuator sound).
And to reiterate, it makes the sound when I’m not physically pushing the pedal (when the adaptive cruise brakes, it does it to)...
I do it alllllll the time (with the non-full length ones). No issues at all.
I can’t find the pic of the new car, but here’s the old one sitting on four jack stands (same jacking rails):
When searching for CoverKing, this one came up... and it has a CoverKing logo on the page. Looks nice and it's in my price range. Just wonder if it'll fit over the spoiler (I emailed them).

I'm not a carbon fiber fan (especially not at those prices).
This one is more aggressive than stock and looks nice...

Satin, though... I guess still not as glossy as gloss.
I guess I could always take off the stock one and...
Is this insert available in Matte Black? Something similar to the front splitter and the other grill pieces?
Since it's easy to just remove and bolt in a new one, I think matte would be a good contrast, and would look better than the entire hood being glossy.
Back in 2015, we did a lot of analyzing because some cars came with the strut tower brace, some didn't... some came with that "firewall" brace, and some didn't. We even learned that if you ordered 20" rims, at least back then, you got a strut tower brace!
I think you got that back brace...
I didn't remove those brackets. I didn't even know what they were at the time, but I did ask about them. Steeda didn't know, either. They just said to install the rails with them still in place, which I did.
That did angle the jacking rails slightly... and I worried about it too much for a...
I ended up doing 15mm all the way around, too!
I can't explain using measurements or show it in pictures, but just my perception of the car walking up to it, it just felt like the rears were sticking out a bit too much with the 20mm spacers.
