I’m looking for a nice, not too expensive, fitting car cover for a 2024 GT with Performance Pack, so it has to fit around the rear spoiler.

Mostly indoor use with occasional outdoor use. So something thinner is ok.

A black car with pollen is murder. I might as well have a green car!

Any suggestions?

IDK if you could make one cover work well for both environments.

My factory indoor cover is very nice. Microfiber on the outside, soft felt/microfiber on the inside.

All the outdoor covers I've seen are of fabric to support dew, rain, breathability, etc.

Mostly inside would lean to an indoor cover. But that cover, I'd not use outside.

If you only had to buy one, that would lean towards an outdoor cover. But those tend are generally not considered for regular on/off use. More of a storage type. We also have to consider the movement of the cover while outside due to wind or breezes.

For either cover, yet another factor is placing it over only a cleaned vehicle. I use mine once a year, for storage. I could use it more often, but I'd only install it if I just washed the car.

YMMV.

As the thread builds, those with outdoor covers could provide their experience.

You mention the spoiler; that's a good thing to confirm. The S550s came with two general versions, Ford making both a "high" cover and a "low" cover version to secure around the two broad wing categories.

I've always used CoverCraft, they have several options depending on price, material and intended use. Ford use CoverCraft to make the "factory"/genuine accessory covers for them.

And for those wondering, that same S550 cover also fits my S650................................................

I’ve always liked CoverCraft, too. My S550 cover won’t fit because of the performance pack spoiler I added to my S650.

Got the factory indoor cover that was ordered with the Dark Horse. I wouldn't use the same cover for both indoor and outdoor.

Stormproof by CoverKing can be used indoor or out. Lightweight proprietary material. I have used on my 2011 since new. I have used mostly indoor and maybe 1/2 dozen outdoors. One needs to know proper techniques for install and removal of any car cover to prevent paint damage. Clean car is a must.
Here in AZ a super fine almost like talcum powder dust is the enemy. I use a California Duster again with proper techniques. Never on a hot surface. Paint should also have a good paint sealant to aid for car cover or California Duster.

California duster drags everything across the surface. My ceramic guy said you should never use those.

I always thought the samething. Almost everyone I have seen using it improperly. Many here at car meets use them and some do it right most don't. If you are pushing dust instead of having the duster lift it with the treated strings. When used the first time you will get lent until it is used several times. This is only to be used on pollen or super fine dust. YouTube videos I have seen do it wrong.

I no longer use one, but the key to using a California duster safely is as you have described.

In 99.9% of situations, guys tend use California duster by dragging it across the paint like a brush, and that's how they have gained the reputation for jacking up paint.

When searching for CoverKing, this one came up... and it has a CoverKing logo on the page. Looks nice and it's in my price range. Just wonder if it'll fit over the spoiler (I emailed them).

Most stretch covers are for indoor or very temporary outdoor with no chance of rain.
I use this one on my24. It is for indoor. I don't have a spoiler but it should work as it is very stretchy and comes very far down on the sides.

CarCover.com frequently has sales and has one now for "60% Off Entire Store + Extra 15% Off at Checkout". They have a variety of indoor and outdoor covers. I use the Gold Shield 5L and it works well for me. Hope to take the cover off in the next 2 weeks!

I bought the outdoor cover from Ford which I believe is the storm proof from cover king. It’s very expensive compared to other options but I used my ford points from when I bought the car and a discount that they always pretty much have running and to get delivered for less then $50. It’s very nice and very easy to get on off even alone. The car is my daily but I work from home so don’t drive it everyday. But hate getting water spots on the car from the open back of the garage. Plus comes with storage bag which is a plus
