@justinmiles -- how were you able to diagnose the fan as being bad? I have had my 24 GT PP for a couple of months now and I have been hearing a very similar noise that I have not been able to reliably replicate, and it is driving me nuts especially since I have less than 2k miles on a brand-new car. I thought perhaps it could be the fuel pump, but if you were able to diagnose the fan as being the issue I would appreciate any insight on what confirmed it for you. Thank you!

So here’s the thing I thought it was the fan. My wife got in the car with me one day and heard the noise she said that’s coming from the rear of car. She was right. Sometimes when I open the door it makes the noise. So I’m 90 percent sure it’s the fuel pump. Taking car in next Wednesday to confirm my suspicions. I’ve got 10000 miles on mine no problems.

I agree, it sounds like it is coming from the rear, and I tend to notice it more when my fuel level is getting lower although there is still no predictability as to when it happens. I fear something is wrong with the pump or how it is accessing the fuel, but I do not know enough about mechanics to draw a more articulate conclusion. I fear if I take it to the dealer they might send me home, but if something is defective, I would like to have it fixed while it is still under warranty. Any further updates from you are much appreciated -- thank you!

No I got to the dealership they told me it would take 5 days to diagnose the car. When they told me before it would be same day. I will not leave my car that long so they can joyride in my car and does who knows what to it. I’ve been down that road with dealerships joyriding in my car. So I’m just gonna keep driving it. When it breaks down then they can fix it. Ive been to every dealership around me in a 100 mile radius none of them are any good. No faith at all with the dealerships. Sorry for no update.

How are you complaining about Dealerships not being able to fix your car? But also not giving them the chance to fix your car? It doesn't make sense.

Thanks for the update, Justin. If I am able to pinpoint what might be wrong with the fuel pump etc I will come back to this thread and let you know.

Dealership experience is at an all time low for me also. I had a bad left drive shaft boot throwing grease out of a small hole from day one. They ordered the shaft. After the "repair" I removed the rear wheel to clean all the grease and found many issues. 1 the brake line attachment bolt broken off in the caliper, the line just hanging loose. 2 The connecting support arm bolt only just barely threaded on. 3 My red Brembo caliper had paint clipped off.
I sent pictures of the bad repair to the service manager, he said bring it in. Really. I dont trust the new generation of remove and replace techs. I corrected myself.

Hi there! I can look into your mustang's noise concern on my end. To get started, could you please send a private message over with the name/location of your local Ford dealer and your mustang's VIN?
