Bought it October 2024 currently got 760miles on it. Majority of cold startup the car shoots a puff of light bluish smoke out the tailpipe. Sometimes the smoke is less and sometimes it’s more, the smoke stinks. Also happens if the car sits for about few hours. Do you guys know for sure what it is? I’m taking to service next week. The puff smoke shoots out during the initial start up when the rev kicks up. It isn’t constant, it just shoots a puff.

Sounds like a misfire. I had that on an old car in 2004. It would also rattle/shake when driving and guzzle gasoline at an abnormal rate. It wound up being the main harness that had one of the tiny cables damaged. It would come and go, most of the time at cold starts.

I am averaging 13.9 - 14.3 city only with the 10speed. It doesn’t sound like a misfire or shake or stutters.

What is the date of manufacture on your vehicle?

Could you post a video? If its anything like this, I believe its normal. Normally just condensation or a rich startup. So long as it dissipates quickly.

Ford had an issue with the left-hand side cylinder head which "apparently" only affected 11 vehicles manufactured over a 3 day period between Jan. 30th - Feb. 1st. Yours is outside of that timeline for sure. Is this issue really only related to 11 vehicles... hard to say.

Are you sure it's blue smoke? There have been at least 2 threads I've seen on this forum about blue smoke on start-up. One included a buy back from Ford. Not trying to worry you but probably worth a visit to the dealer for inspection. Edit add - Assuming it is really blue smoke.

It does appear to be very light blue compare to the condensation. But thanks.

It looks like this, sometimes it produce more smoke and sometimes it’s the amount in the video

I've seen several videos of the blue smoke on startup. To me yours looks more white than blue i.e., more like condensation.

Also, it appears you changed your exhaust system. If so, how long ago?
