THIS IS THE THIRD TIME THIS HAS HAPPENED.

My Mustang doesn't start. When I first press the start button, it starts, but as soon as I switch it to "D," it turns off and doesn't start again. I tried for an hour in a 90's temperature and it doesn't start for god sake. As mentioned, this is the third time I've experienced this issue. When I check the status on the app, it says the vehicle status is good, but my car doesn't start. Is this some kind of joke to the Ford people, having this many issues with a car? The vehicle doesn't start, and the CarPlay doesn't work properly. Connecting your phone to CarPlay can be a huge task and sometimes it doesn't connect at all. Such a mess.

Do managers or higher authority folks read the threads here? The responses we get from Ford representatives here look automated. They simply ask for a VIN number and dealer information. Even when I take my car to the dealers, they don't know anything about the S650.

THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE.

Definitely schedule a call with your dealer. That’s why you have a warranty. I would certainly dissuade you from waiting for the powers-that-be to read your thread on this forum & take action.

If it is leaving you stranded, have them pick it up and give you a loaner.

As for Sync/Carplay/AA, Ford just plain sucks. It is by far the worst infotainment system in the automotive industry.

Going to the dealer is your best bet. My car AC randomly stopped working and then all the lights went on and started to run rough a couple weeks later. The tech asked if things ever worked right because a main wire harness wasn’t even plugged in? I’m guessing it was never fully connected and fell out.

As mentioned above, the CarPlay on this car is terrible. Mine will randomly connect without audio somehow. Also, driving past the fire station slowly will cause the entire system to go crazy and I think reboot into audio off.

Take a deep breath or 10, calm yourself and try:

1) if you have FORSCAN, check for DTC’s, note them.
2) get a video of you starting the car, put in drive and stalling.

Do you have any modifications to the car - any at all?

Car play not working is frustrating if you let it be frustrating. I don’t even use it in my Mustang, I may eventually if I need different maps but for now, I don’t want or need the distraction.
Don’t let this eat away at you. YES, get it looked at but there are a lot of things that can contribute to this issue and it’s completely separate from your stalling issue.

if you do have mods on the car, think very carefully about install procedures, and maybe retrace those steps. You could check under the hood; look for a loose or disconnected piece- hose maybe, just to make one last attempt before contacting the stealership...

good luck!

If the car is home I would slap a trickle charger on it for a good 24-48 hours before I did anything else. A lot of issues are related to the battery not having enough charge. (It does weird things to the car).

For the love of God, it's a new car with a warranty. Take it to the dealership.

This isn't a forum for Ford employees to monitor and help you fix your problem. I have no idea why anyone would even think that.

I am hoping your issue is repeatable and it will act the same way in the dealership so they can fix it.

Did you take it to the dealer the last two times it happened? If so you may have a lemon law claim if they "fix" it and it happens again.

I have a 2024 GT Premium.
I use Car Play most of the time.
No problems so far.
I have an Apples 🍎 phone. When I get in & start the Mustang I go to settings on the phone and make sure Car Play is switched on.
The Audio Play List will start.
I usually hit Random & Play on my phone ☎.
Sorry to hear your having issues.
Your Dealership should figure it out?

Take it to the dealer as soon as you can.

I like the battery idea. In new cars less than perfect batteries can cause all kinds of gremlins. Then dealer.

Or better yet take it to an auto place and have them check the battery.

The vehicle is a new vehicle under factory warranty. There is absolutely no reason to take it anywhere else, unless you prefer to pay someone else to do work that the dealership should do at no cost under warranty.

Adavance auto, autozone etc. Will check the battery for free. Without the hassle of the dealer.

Me personally, i would replace a battery myself to avoid the dealer.

The auto parts stores do a chit job of "checking" batteries. 90% of the time, they a flunkies who don't know their head from a hole in the ground. I would trust one about as far as I can throw one, and I SURE as heck wouldn't trust them near my $70K Dark Horse.
