Oh man I hope not. I hope that is a rumor or assumption. I know you can temporarily disable it, though seems the only way to prevent it from activating is keep the heat or the ac on low at all times.
I can not believe they would stick that shit on a track ready V8. Every stop sign, light, the thing has to crank over, seems that would burn more fuel than idle.
