Should look as oem. If your not satisfied make sure its known do not accept inferior work. Its already going to have a collision on its record if you ever go to resell it or trade in it will cause problems you don't need.

If you can see it with the naked eye, bring someone else along with you to validate and if it doesn’t match, you shouldn’t accept it, whether it’s paid for by insurance or out of pocket.

Also, if it doesn’t match, the work was likely done by someone who simply doesn’t care. Most of the small, family owned body shops exist on their name and reputation. They simply cannot afford to be associated with poor craftsmanship. I’ve had bodywork done by 2 privately owned shops very close by. Both of them had custom cars in various states of work and they were happy to show their work before I even said - yes, I’d like you to do the repair.

You could not visually tell when they were done what was repaired.

@jimsgunshop ..... beautiful car. Very disheartening. I have been rear ended twice. Both times stopped at a red light. One repair was oem the other somewhat like yours. I stayed on the insurance company like a rat on cheese and they finally made the shop re-paint my car. None of my business but you can likely get a better job done and if so why sell it? It will, unfortunately, have some diminished value, so why not just drive it and have fun with it? BTW - if you purchase a Bronco do some research and use the VIN of any you are looking at as the Broncos have allegedly had a LOT of issues failing motors to quality control.

"restored to pre loss condition" is what is supposed to be done, IMHO that wasn't

But I am going to leave my comments there as I get ripped a new one every time I give my opinion on accident damage, even though I have been doing body work for over 40 years and am a licensed auto damage appraiser.

Remember I said it should have been totaled based on the damage visible and the anticipated salvage value

You better be chasing the other guys insurance for diminished value because you are about to take a huge beating on the trade in value due to the accident history and less than stellar repair work
