2025 9.5 qt oil capacity vs. 2024 10 qt

I've done 5 oil changes myself. FL-500s and 10 qts. Ends up on full every time.

Do you prefer ramps or jack stands for changes, thanks?

I change my oil on a lift. Ramps would be easier as long as it gets the vehicle high enough to take the belly pan off.

They switched filters from a FL500s to a FL2127 which is a smaller filter. The 24's are probably listing previous years for oil capacity.

Can you show me where you got this info from?

I have a 2024 GT and my owners manual says 10 quarts. I have done 1 oil change so far and 10 quarts was directly at the full line. Oil drained on jack stand, filled on ground.

i use a Ford Racing FL-820S and 10 quarts.

Down loaded 24 owners manual, it said 10qts with 500 filter. My 24 DH car says 9.5qts with 500 filter. But then my car also told me to pull over and have a rest !

Haha, yeah change the oil, put a new filter on it. Then check the oil level. If it's full on 9.5 it's, good. Simple math. If not you have half a qt left over. After a few drives check it.

Probably older !!! DH faster, handles better, but Cobra testosterone laden, crude and scarier !

I'm 58, I ve been offered a job at Factory Five, probably more fun but the pay sucks. Stuck in the regular autobody world.
