I know Ford are having no problem selling every single Mustang they land in Australia, but I kinda wish they would do an entry level Mustang GT for those who don't want all the bells and whistles and just want a V8 at a lower price....

This would be a great way to get more people into them, but I don't like your chances, given the limited build/options variations we already have.
I mean, if you can't order a rear winger spoiler (like you could with an S550) independent of other options....

Oh I get it, Ford wouldn't be interested in doing it. What annoys me is that Australia is one of the largest export markets for Mustang, but the UK actually gets more choice in terms of trim and options than we do.

Not really.. The UK get coloured trim options, wheel options.. They got the full colour pallet when the Mach 1 was released.. Australia seems to just want to do the bare minimum.

ADR's, the now redundant set of standards that also sits alongside the Luxury Car Tax and ANCAP in being completely useless and no longer appropriate considering the government killed our car industry, but still benefits from it by keeping these three in action.

It's just the government's attempt at appearing like Australia has high standards, but its just a di.k swinging contest or a "look!...........over there!" situation. If we have such high standards, why are roads outside of the major capital cities in such a shameful state, that right there causes more of a safety concern than some obscure ADR's. Thing is, it works against us in some cases as car companies have a why bother attitude to Australia. Lexus actually discontinued models in Australia rather than spending money meeting redundant design standards. And yet, those vehicles meet stringent standards in other highly advanced countries such as Japan, Germany, USA and the U.K.

It just allows people to be even more distracted, thinking the car is going to compensate for their lack of attention/stupidity.
It's called dumbing down.

And you want an example of dumb?
I went into the bank yesterday to get a bank cheque for the dealer (picked up my GT today).
The 20 something behind the counter couldn't even add $30 (cost of the bank cheque) to the requested amount in their head.
Had to use a calculator... looked at it in disbelief, and then grabbed her phone and did it again, to add 30 to the amount.
I just stood there and smiled... in utter disbelief.

I think they'd sell more Mustangs in the UK if they actually allowed people to order them. I tried to place an order 3.5 months ago for a '24 only to find the order banks were closed.

Just got a call yesterday from my dealer saying...they're still closed. The Ford UK website is still listing '24 colours and prices; no mention of the MY25 yet.

So yes, we don't buy many as they won't bloody let us!

Agreed, the seemingly endless pursuit of Driver Assistance crap is yet more evidence of the insidious modus operandi of the Nanny State, ostensibly to "Keep Us Safe", presumably assuming we are too stupid and inept to function and make decisions for ourselves. However as Orwell ("1984") correctly observed on returning from the USSR in the late 1940s, this is an insidious device for usurping power and control over every aspect of our lives, by gradually removing all individual autonomy, yet presented as "Progressive" and "Equality" etc.

In terms of systematic "Dumbing Down" It is rather ironic as they have destroyed any standards of education - to the lowest common denominator, where everyone is now equal (regardless of ability), and everyone is "entitled" the prize a HSC and Degree - even if they can't add 30 to a number. The prerequisite for the HSC used to be only accessible for the top 20% or less of Year 10.

I don't know about other states, but here in S/E QLD, (BNE, Gold & Sunny Coasts) most traffic light-controlled intersections have red arrows for a center-right turn.
You can literally sit at an intersection for a minute or so with no oncoming traffic, and have to wait for the next cycle before being able to turn.

It becomes a bigger farce on weekends or during the night.

I guess this is to protect the idiots from themselves (and others from the idiots).
Sitting there idling is not good for the environment, nor is it good for allowing traffic to free-flow therefore adding to congestion.

It does stop the impatient idiots from blocking intersections, but again, this is a complete lack of common sense.

I doubt the build quality and durability of a Bronco could match the legendary Toyota Landcruiser, but there is "something" about the Bronco that makes me want to have one, especially a fun 2-door model.
Perhaps it's the fact they're unobtanium here.

Was about to say the same thing about the Bronco, the older versions are still a popular choice for people into off road hill climbs and the like.

To me it's like a cross between an FJ Cruiser and a Jeep Wrangler
