Yes. Now if Ford would only offer a "real" version that all of us can buy. I hate when the best styling is reserved for a car that is unobtainable. Some of those shots are absolutely poster worthy.
I would consider a Mustang with the right equipment for $100K.Drop the price from $325K down to around $100K and I will consider it.
I would be willing to forgo all carbon fiber, the supercharger and the DCT. Just give me a nice manual transaxle version with this sweet styling. Heck, even without the styling I might be a buyer if I could get the full suspension including the front SLA setup."If Ford pays for 2/3rds of the car I might consider it"![]()
thst looks retro to you? Not seeing it at all.It feels like they were going for a retro feel on the interior of the GTD, and now that I've looked at some high quality photos I think it works.
Still think that they could have used some higher quality materials more generously, but all things considered I rescind my previous statements.
I'd prefer the Saleen S302's front upper grille personally, but the GTD's is (slowly) growing on me.Ford must add most of those styling updates to next refresh; hood, grille/front, side, rear - already look so much better than S650
Its not too fast but probably too slow to race because of the SC adding too much weight over the front , creating too much heat and causing too many pit stops due to excessive fuel consumption…Look at the Garage 56 Nascar ZL1 Camaro that came in 39th at last years 24 hours of Le Mans…It had a n/a 5.8 V8 instead of the SC 6.2 for obvious reasons…I hear the GTD race car will be powered by a n/a 5.4 which would be cool for next years GT with the option for a titanium Akrapovic exhaust…These exhaust systems are the best ! Pure art the systems itself and quality of the weldsThe closest we can get is a GT3 car. The GTD is too fast to be a racecar. Yes, think about that.
The GTD is a more than 800 hp supercar compared to gt3 cars which are usually limited to around 500-600 hp. The GTD has better areo, more down force, tires, brakes, it's all better than what the gt3 racecars have. I hear you but there is a reason that no racecars use the WW1 technology of supercharging today anymore…Nobody knows if it overheats but for sure it will use too much fuelThe GTD is a more than 800 hp supercar compared to gt3 cars which are usually limited to around 500-600 hp. Gt3 race cars are very restricted in terms of their performance level. Even that garage 56 Camaro, it probably only hit 190 or so. The GTD will have a higher top speed than that.
