Hello all. New member to the Mustang community. Been a fan of Mustangs all my life. Finally got one.

I love the car. Very fun to drive. I just have a few questions regarding a couple things.

I've been aware about the MT82 being sometimes iffy over the years. Has anyone here upgraded their transmission fluid and anything else to make shifts a little smoother? Anything I should know about the MT82 as an owner?

Who are the big respected names for tuners to look at these days? To my understanding the ECU hasn't been cracked yet and only whipple can play with it due to their partnership with Ford if im correct. I remember people using Bama tune in the early coyote days.

I plan on eventually doing Cobra Jet intake (when available), long tube's, and catback. Has anyone gone custom route as far as catback goes? I definitely want a little more noise just not an obnoxiously loud rasp. I prefer deep grumble tones. I imagine a tune would be necessary for the Cobra manifold and headers.

Edit: finally was able to upload pic from laptop.

Nobody can "tune" these motors yet. Whipple has base tunes that your Mustang gets if you install their SC, but they aren't "tuning" your vehicle in the sense that companies custom tune the S550. At least not yet.

Congrats on your purchase. BITFC!!

P.S. - Without pics you don't have one. Don't be in violation of rule #4, so post some pics! :)

I'm trying to get a pic uploaded lol. Every time I use attach files or drop image it doesn't load. (I'm on mobile while at work) I can try from my laptop when I get home tonight.

Dude. If youā€™ve got the AVE and track mode isnā€˜t loud enough for you, well, you have my respect! I have one similar to yours and I swear itā€™s louder than my Mach 1.

And congrats!

That bronze looks incredible on there. And yes I have my custom profile setup. I do quiet start up in the morning cause my neighbors are rather old and as soon as I turn out the neighborhood I click over to my custom profile which is track exhaust mode and sport steering. It definitely sounds great. I just want a tiny bit more oompfh to it. Nothing too obnoxious but works well with our AVE.

Thanks, I like my bronze wheels just fine but I really like your black ones. I assume you have the NP pkg?

Youā€™ve made a good choice. I had a ā€˜22 base GT with the BAP and I loved the monolithic black look. I got more compliments on that car than any Mustang Iā€™ve had. Wish I had never traded it but you know how that is.

Yes mine has the baby brembos on it so non performance pack if that's what you were referring to. And yes black on black looks great. I would've gone for the bronze package if it was available but I'm going to change wheels later (likely CS3s). I'd like to do an old school style build on mine.
