They pulled the glovebox light sometime after model year 2019, so nothing new. Iāll have to check but I do not think the garage door panel was lit either. So I knew from previous posts, that there are no lights in the cupholders, but last night was the first night, We have taken the car out with it being dark out. My husband went to get something out of the glove box and realized this is the first car we ever have, that we can remember anyway, where it does not have a light inside the glove box, and then, when we went to press the garage door opener thereās no light up above either. Has anybody else noticed the lighting in this thing really sucks? The only two places Iām seeing they have lights at night, are the door handles and on the foot pedals where I really donāt need to see![]()
Glovebox light has historically been the #1 cause of dead batteries. If a car had one first thing I did was pull the bulb. They pulled the glovebox light sometime after model year 2019, so nothing new. Iāll have to check but I do not think the garage door panel was lit either.

All the years we have had them in the glove box, which we still do,have never had one kill the battery and we have been driving 50+ years. Many times we have had to get things out of there. They have license checks at night, hard to find what you need out of there without a lightGlovebox light has historically been the #1 cause of dead batteries. I have mine on red and turned way up. I donāt know how it is distracting when hardly anything has the ambient lighting. The Audi had it in the back so people could read at night if they wantedI liked ambient light in my 2021
On the 2024 i found it too bright even on the lowest setting so i turned it off...
Hope they can make a software update to give us more "shades".
It's supposed to be discreet not distracting.

City driving is likely fine.I have mine on red and turned way up. I donāt know how it is distracting when hardly anything has the ambient lighting. The Audi had it in the back so people could read at night if they wanted
That would be kept in the glovebox. Would still be hard to find it
I just donāt get it why they have ambient lighting on the floor by my feet.City driving is likely fine.
But on a totally dark road, it was a bit too bright to my taste.
To each his own i guess.
Put it in the center console. It has a light. That would be kept in the glovebox. Would still be hard to find it![]()
