Yes- this tariff hokey pokey isnt not providing the country with the stability that is needed.... and things will be getting more expensive ....

anyone who thinks otherwise probably doesnt have exposure to the impact this is having on supply chains across the nation....

No problem. That's what I use laughing emojis for. But cooler heads need to prevail as this situation cannot go on. It's going to hurt all of us regardless of political affiliation. And that's coming from a middle of the road independent.

I'm sure the current shenanigans will blow over as it is all just willy waving, but what will not blow over is the damage done to sales of US products overseas. People have long memories. Just ask Ford how many cars they sell in Japan!

The only whisky worth drinking comes from Scotland, and it better be single malt and better be served neat. It better come from the Islay or Speyside regions, too - although I'll make exceptions for the other three (I don't consider Islands a region, as they are part of the Highland region).

A sports car isn’t defined by having or not having heated seats. The wife has degenerative disc disease and mine ain’t doing so hot either, so it’s kinda a necessity these days for long rides. Our 23 Corvette is a loaded out 3LT interior and I would have been satisfied with 1LT and saving $8k if it had what’s now a basic accessory on most vehicles which was my effin’ point that you obviously didn’t pick up on. The 24 GT premium has really all we need comfort wise and a minimal cost. For my street use they both have plenty of gitty up go as I don’t track my cars. I don’t fault anyone for seeking more HP as you shouldn’t bust on me for needing heated seats for a legitimate reason. I can assure you that buyers like me aren’t the reason you’re locked out. I’m sorry Ford rained on y’all’s parade….maybe someone will unlock the S650 someday and things will be better for the owners who mod their cars. I’m new to the Mustang world and I have a question….was there no prior warning(s) that the new cars would be locked out from tuning?

Hey, looks like I really hit a nerve with what was meant to be a funny parody of several other uses of the same coined phrase. It's okay - I'm in my mid 50's; there's nothing you complained about that I don't relate with.
As for your question - I will have to claim ignorance, as this is also my first Mustang. I've been a German car guy for decades. I was actually out shopping for a new AMG E or S series when I caught this car out of the corner of my eye on the lot. I have, however, been raised among racers and mechanics and so I was kind of excited to try my hands at tuning a GT to the max. I'm pretty sure they'll get into the software eventually, but it made me think - had I known, I would NOT have purchased the Mustang, and I would have missed out on a really cool car and driving experience. The executive in me wants to slap the leadership at Ford across the head - in a diminishing market, you don't alienate your #1 loyal fan-base. It's just enough to think they must have idiots in charge.
Anway, sorry for getting you all spun up with poking a little fun. Not my intention to diminish anyone's experience here. Or in their Mustang. I just want what's mine to be mine, and not need some permission slip from a bean counter in Dearborn.
