Does anyone know how to activate the anti theft notifications in the fordpass app? It's this even a thing. My fordpass app seems very basic and I cannot find anything about alarm or anti theft notifications

there's nothing to activate via the app, if your alarm goes off without you pressing the panic button, it'll send a notification to you. two that i have seen are "vehicle intrusion" and "vehicle inclination", the latter also doubling as the "that noise was too loud" alarm for something like an F-59 Amazon van with the 7.3L and cats stolen being revved nearby

@Mikestang24 ..... If you are in or will visit an area that you think you Mustang will be stolen I have a couple of respectful suggestions. The only way to guarantee no theft unless your vehicle is flatbedded is to install a kill switch. My insurance company will "one time" deduct the cost $150.00 to $500.00 from my premium if I install one. I contacted Corporate Ford to see if they would give me permission. They gave me a case number and a Ford dealer near me whose work they would approve for warranty purposes. I have not done this yet as I haven't had the time. While you are deciding what to do you may want to do what I am currently doing if in a "sketchy" area, like if I have to leave the car overnight at a hotel or somewhere I think it may be vulnerable.....I pull a fuse to disable it. You can pull one of several. End of story for any thief with code readers or electronic disablers. Analogue - old school baby - beats the new punks every time. I also have two cables that I use to wrap the steering wheel. One goes to the safety belt lock (20 bucks on Amazon) the other under the seat slide. I put a big note on the dash "This car has a kill switch and will not start". One of the news networks did a special on vehicle thefts this weekend and showed how thieves had stolen code readers from locksmiths (some at gunpoint) and interviewed a car electronics dealer who was installing kill switches. None of his customers have lost a vehicle. He has a sticker that he puts in the window saying there is a kill switch installed. We used to install these on our sleds (aka snowmobiles). A local Dodge dealer has been including kill switches on all its sales of new high end vehicles from Hell Cats to Durangos. Even looking under the hood no way can you see what has been done. They will put them anywhere their clients want. No one has lost one of their cars since they started installing them. Most of the time cables alone will work as most thieves are lazy. If they REALLY want you car and you pull a fuse or install a kill switch they are screwed no what they have for code readers. ALSO ***** I use a Faraday pouch for my fob so some a-hole can't follow me in the parking lot at Walmart then clone my key. At home we put all our keys in a Faraday box so the dirtbags can't read our keys from the street. Lots of Faraday pouches and boxes on Amazon. The only thing better is a couple of Rotweilers and an AR15.
******I'll try to attach a picture of the steering wheel cable lock I have - this is to stop teenage punks from slicing my convertible top and trying to go for a joy ride. The other stuff is for the pros. I was asked - wouldn't they be pissed and key your car? Not the pros, they want to be gone in 10 seconds without any attention. Never heard of anyone with a kill switch getting keyed. Good luck, brother.

Thanks for the info. I garage the car every night and work is secure parking. Don't plan on visiting any sketch areas... but the kill switch is definitely a good idea. The Faraday boxes as well. I was thinking the app would be greatly improved showing the new features, but apparently it's still just spying for lexisnexis.......

There was a severe thunderstorm here a couple of months ago and a very loud thunder clap or maybe the torrential rain caused my Ford App to send a message about intrusion or tampering detected, something like that. I did NOT hear the horn blaring but the lights may have been flashing.
