Any new rumors/hints on the possible 4 door based off the current Mustang?

bevause they didn’t make quality cars. They looked good. Ram good for a limited time. But they weren’t built well and were patchwork efforts combined will old carryover Frankensteined with new.

gross. Why would anyone buy that when they could buy a better car from Honda, Toyota, Hyundai or BMW at similar price points.

so here is ford saying they want to introduce some new cars, 4 door, Baja, etc. I’ll take them at their word.

and also maintain that an all new mustang platform is the best starting point for this to happen.

An ancient platform that’s already been holding the car back since the s550 gained weight over the s197 isn’t the answer. If Chevy could create an alpha platform, ford can do better. They don’t need a million different cars. Just a few, quality ones. And every one of them would benefit - as would ford and Lincoln.

just stay away from the new jaguar branding and it will be great.
European Ford cars have been very good for a while and still are.

Don't you know that 80% of all statistics are made up 65% of the time? You really can believe most people's facts when they are backed with numbers on 9 out of 10 of their doctor recommended posts.
My post was in jest, hence the winky face but the crucial thing is the source of information. If it is a peer reviewed paper in a proper journal with proper statistical analysis using approved methods then you can be comfortable of the evidence. If it is a headline grabbing opinion piece in a tabloid paper with references to other personal opinions then it is worth nothing.

It is not a surprise that all science degrees have lectures on how to source information and the peer review process, plus lectures on statistical analysis. They were boring at the time but are useful for the rest of your life.

based on sales, performance, and quality… yes, Ford absolutely needs a new car platform. Not a heavier than needs to be inefficient platform that soaks up engine power rather than putting it to the road.

Investing a new Mustang specific platform subsequently applied to other cars would solve all of the issues mentioned in this thread for a long time to come.

you can’t build a castle on a bad foundation.

build great products and not only will you have customets today, but tomorrow too.
As I said Ford ARE creating a new platform (EV) They are not developing any new ICE platforms other than the developments of the C2.
