Anyone else’s screen color & ambient lighting get reset?

After every couple of car starts my color choices get reset back to default and my ambient lighting color is just turned off. Wondering if anyone else has ran into this problem & if anyone has a troubleshoot?

Happens frequently, over the last year. I discovered if I press my Memory 1 button, it goes back to my personal color settings.

I have never had my setting change. I keep hearing about others with the issue, but I have not. I've never had the display go blank nor the dash not working as advertised, nor has anything else cropped up to annoy me. If anything annoys me, it is simply the fact I cannot set the parameters just like I want them, and then expect them to stay the next time I drive! While I understand Ford's (I think I do?) stance, I wish things were just set and forget lust like the radio's channel selections. Jeez! Is that too much to ask for?

There’s the recurring problem with colors, ambient lighting, etc. getting reset. This is on the rare side, and some have reported that getting rid of their custom profile settings helped.

There’s also the issue of the modules getting reset to factory when the OTA update hits and the subsequent restart completes. You’ll know when the OTA update happens, it will show on the sync screen, and FordPass. This will also reset your colors, ambient light and at least the alarm prompt setting - maybe even the custom drive modes.

I had the colors change to defaults just one time... after an OTA update.

After an OTA update some stuff changed. Chimes changed at some random time though but after a couple of starts reverted back to the bongos.

Before the last update i had 1 time where the right side screen was blank for the first 2 or 3 minutes after starting the car and after the last update my ambient lighting was off for a few days. Those are the only issues so far after 5 weeks.

Mine only resets if the battery was pulled or if I change something with Forscan.

My would reset the first month or so, and after that it stayed where I put it.
The ambient lighting never did change. It always stayed where I put it.

My ambient lighting has never changed from what I set. However, my choice of gauges is set to Cobra but very often will display as Fox Body. I do like the Fox Body look, but my overall favorite is the Cobra style. When the Fox Body style shows up, I have just learned to live with it. So far, the Cobra look does return. I just have no idea when or how long they will stick around. It is annoying.

All my other settings usually work as I intend them to. Also, a while ago, I set my second driver seat position to lower the outside mirrors. Not my idea. I read it here but don't remember the member’s ID that posted it originally. Anyway, it works great for parking when you have curbs involved.

Mine is the complete opposite. I have sport theme cluster and it has never changed for me once but it feels like every other day I have to reset my ambient lighting or it won’t turn on at all unless I do it manually which is kinda annoying

happened to me as well it has to do the with the profiles
when i deleted the profiles and didn't create new one now it stays the way i leave it every time

Yes, color will randomly reset and when you go to the MyColor section, it will show you colors selected but what is displayed will be different.

Similarly but unrelated, if you press the Memory button it will reload your saved profile and colors when the seat memory was saved. You will also see your saved profile name or Guest pop up if you have My Key enabled

I got pushed the BMS update last night. This morning remote start was disabled, had to manually start. That’s a new one for me. As usual, alarm prompt, color theme and ambient lighting were defaulted and the radio was defaulted ; set to AM 560.

I suppose it’s somewhat understandable since BMS reset would interrupt power to the various modules. still... :-/
