Anyone have pics of a Dark Horse (with HP) running VF5 or VF10 (20x10 and 20x11)?

About to pull the trigger on either a set of Velgen VF5 or VF10 (first world problems, I know). Their website has photos but they are all non HP DH :(

Debating between 19s and 20s; objective is not to have to add lowering springs but also not to get too big where I rub.

Anyone have pics of their Dark Horse, with Handling Pack, and a VF5 or VF10 in 20" size?

If it helps, I just had measurements taken by a friend so I could get some wheels made. I am going 20s, but I am doing the dual rate springs from steeda. From what I have been able to gather, 20s will definitely need the lowering springs to sit closer to OEM on the 19s, but still just a smidge lower.
Mine will still be the 305 and 315 as well.

My math is not mathing here.

Let's save you have the 19" 315/35R19

Adding a 20" 315/35R20 would bring the wheel, and rim, 1" closer to the lip of the wheel well.

No?

Hurry up and get your 20s my little guinea pig, hurry up!!!

I am hurrying! My friend does full custom wheels in house, so it will be a couple weeks I imagine.
The handling pack has the 305/30 19 so I am going 305/30 20 and 315/30 20. Yes it will bring it 1 inch closer, but by our measurements, it should fit fine. 6gr has a dark horse with the same size I am looking at, on the lowering springs in their wheel and tire thread on here!

Sorry, you are right; it's a 30 sidewall. My bad. That is what I'm looking at for the 305/30R20 and 315/30R20.

They do?

Love the look of these; this DH isn't a HP and has been lowered so I'm guessing with the HP it's gotta be very close to this WITHOUT lowering springs.

Yeah, I was hoping there was a DH HP user out there somewhere that had a set of these that I could oogle. I had the Steeda Minimum Drop Dual Rate on my S550 and they were great however I'm looking for a setup that I can take the 20s off and put the stock 19s on for HPDE events and just be done with ride height.

Agreed on the tint. I was setting up my appointments (assuming my car gets delivered before hand) and am going 15% on the rear/rear sides but 30% on the passenger and driver side. In Canada the Tint Laws changed in February and the Gestapo made it so that you aren't supposed to have ANY tint on the sides now however most cops will allow you to skate if it's not too dark HOWEVER you can't safety/certify, a requirement if you are going to resell it privately, the car if the tint is less than 30%

Yeah I haven't seen any on velgens in that size. The one I linked was the first one I came across when I was looking into wheel and tire combos. It made me fall in love with the 20s because of how it filled the wheel well. I feel you on the springs though. I have seen some with the 19s on the dual rates and they sit pretty low. I probably won't change out my wheels often though.

That's crazy that you can't have any! Here in AZ you aren't supposed to go very dark on the sides, but it gets so hot they really don't pull you over for it unless they want an excuse to give you a ticket :cwl:

Going from a 19” to 20” wheel with the same tire width and ratio will result in it being 1/2” higher in the wheel well and a 1/2” increase in the overall car height. The total tire height increase 1”, but half is above the axle (filling the wheel well) and half below (raising the car).

Found a site that allows me to visualize. Sort of.

Shop Custom Wheels Mississauga, ON | The Tire Terminal

Here is a DH Premium (White) with black rims that are SORT of like VF10s. This is a non HP car so sits higher than what mine would.

Also not sure about the black being all that black; looks more grey.

Awesome! Same on the lowering front. Lol. The Whipple makes the front a tad more dipped too. (Lots of freaking scrapes underneath the chin splitter 😡🤷‍♂️)
