Hey All,

With my upcoming road trip been debating on swapping out my 20" VF5 (20x10 and 20x11) for the Dark Horse Handling Pack wheels (19x10.5 and 19x11)

Since my stock Trofeo will never make it there and back been wondering about the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires; specifically concerned about the fronts fitting on the 10.5" rim

Firestone Firehawk 500
FRONT: 285/35R19
REAR: 325/30R19

LRM sells these with their DHP1 wheels but those are 19x10 in the front.

The Firestone is .8" less wide than the Trofeo. See below. Wondering if the 10.5 is too wide for a 285

Firestone says they're good up to 285mm (11in)

Thanks @agreywolfe !

Looks like I may order a set of these Firestone Indy 500 as they perform decent for the price and can certainly survive a 3000+ km trip (with 1000km of that probably being driven a little frisky)

Tirerack.com has specs for all kinds of tires so you can compare easily.
choose Tires>shop by brand>pick your brand>choose your tire>select specs>>BAM. All there. Section width, tread width, diameter, revs/mile, rim width range, and rim width used for given specs.
Every 0.5” rim change will change section width by 0.2” in same direction.
note- while Pirelli may have larger section width than another tire, it might have a smaller tread width.

Gotcha.

I'm looking at these Firestone Indy 500 tires to put on my stock Handling Pack rims (10.5" and 11").

I will know more once the Whipple is installed later this month. If the front sits too low I may have to step down to a 19" rim and sell my Velgens :(
