I got my first mustang, a 1968 289 4speed top loader with Hurst inline shifter way back in 1977. Every Mustang I’ve bought since then I put a Hurst shifter in. I love the way the t-handle looks and feels. The 2024 is the first automatic car I’ve ever owned but between my age and traffic in central Texas it was time to give my clutch leg a break. Couldn’t find a Hurst that would fit so I bought a Barton and a hurst T-handle, took it to a buddy with a machine shop who milled down the shaft and re-threaded it to fit the hurst. Turned out pretty nice.

Good look.

Do you press the entire handle down to disengage the lockout? I didn't want that - which is why I went with the Billetworkz solution that uses a ring below the knob to disengage that.
