Does anyone more technically inclined than me know if it would be possible to add the Brembo brake package on separately after the fact? I didn't option it on when I ordered my GT, but I would like to upgrade the brakes in the future for track driving. This would include rotors, calipers, pads, and everything else necessary. Is there even a parts list for all of that stuff?

Don't know if this would be of any benefit to you, contact Brenspeed and discuss your plans with them, they're located NW of Ft. Wayne, IN.

I have added Brembos (front) to my car. With the rear brakes being upgraded to the ones from the ford explorer ST.

To add the rear Brembos you would have to change the IRS knuckle and would cost ~$3000. I found a set of new take offs from a 2023 GT for $350 on eBay and bought the other hardware from ford for ~$50.

This is the reason I ordered the PP for $5295
390mm 6 piston front 355mm 4 piston rears same brakes as the Dark Horse R
I don't think that would be an upgrade. The standard GT brakes are already 17" rotors.
The stock GT fronts are 14" 4 piston and rears are 13" single piston

That is correct. I clicked my way through "will it fit" (year, color, submodel) options, and the it said that particular kit was NOT for a '24 GT (and it says in the avert that system is for 2005s-2014s).

AM may offer a different kit for '24s but I didn't check.

UPDATE: I looked at the '24 Mustang GT brake section at Late Model Restorations----Nada!

I also checked Wilwood, Baer, and AP Lockheed--Nada!

I mistakenly saw the wrong rotor size listed on a parts website. But yes I also checked several sites for brakes and there's nothing

bad news buddy, its going to be expensive. Your best best would be a wrecked S650 and take the brakes; a new kit is going to be $. Hopefully the S550 brembos fit, as that should be more readily available.

The only option I really wanted was the brembo package because I knew how expensive and involved it would be to upgrade. The package was ~1200 bucks, a complete no brainer.

Yeah, I know. At the time when I ordered it, the build sheet was already more expensive than what I wanted to spend, so I had to cut some things off. I did keep the active exhaust though (glad I did).

These cars are getting too expensive

I sympathize with you, but man, you gotta think ahead. You dont order a car very often so you gotta get the right options! In hindsight, I might have sprung some more cheese for the 401a red interior, but I am sure as hell glad I got the brembos, this car is too heavy for stock GT brakes.

Yeah, expensive. If you're already spending $50K+ for a car, adding options you really want is necessary at that point or you're going to pay a lot more later. It's like that with any option, though. Not just Brembos. Hope you find a decent option! There are some good ones listed here.
