Can we add illuminated door-sill scuff plates?

For those of us who don't have 401A, can these be added? I think it would be a nice addition for 50 bucks and free shipping.

I know sometimes the wiring harnesses are pretty much the same and then options are either plugged in... or not.

I also know it says "2015-2023", but they look identical to what we've got.

I could always pop mine off and look for an empty plug, but wanted to see if anybody knew first.

I bought the same ones, but havent had the time to install them yet. i am sure that they can be installed. Just need to figure out the wiring at the plates, then tie them into the under dash lighting wiring

Would be nice to add the other mycolor lights. I did see people add extra lights to the system like ones under the seats that added foot well lighting to the rear seats and extra lights in the footwells in the front. There should be a harness piece thats running under the door trim that runs on the side of the doors. Not sure if there is an extension harness needed to make the connection. The sill plates should have a wiring harness for them built in.

you probably can. IIRC, the connector for the MyColor door sill plates is always there. you will have to mess with some stuff in FORScan in the BCM and BCMB, just search in the spreadsheet for "ambient"

Na just use forscan make a backup of the files save them and use the spread sheet to make the changes. You will need a link cable but forscan.org has a list of cables to get. Anyone know if the door pulls or under dash lights are available or what their part numbers are. Though i think the footwell lights are physically part of the harness.

I finally ordered these and checked for the connector. There it is, waiting to be hooked up! I know I’ll probably need to use FORScan to turn it on, but at least the wiring is already in place.
