in my opinion, i think these tail lights could be safer than factory, especially the white lenses, because the indicators are amber instead of red. so many vehicles on the road in the US have those double duty brake lights plus indicators, Technology Connections said it best. "But in the US, see red? Who knows!? You’ll have to stare at it for a moment to be sure." and i've seen Mustangs as new as 2022 have a failed tail light bar. a case could also be made by some that the lenses being red by default makes it harder for some people to see when they light up during the day, especially lights that are not LEDs. that being said, all of the previous points are still very much valid. if you do get these tail lights, it might not be a bad idea to get a 2 channel dash cam too, so you can prove that the person who rear ended you was on their phone, following too closely, or otherwise not paying attention. some final things is that Auto Addicts claims their lights are fully DOT and SAE compliant, with no mention of the lights being for off-road use only. from the pictures and videos i've seen, they might be even brighter than the factory lights too
