Convertible plastic cover inserts

I've seen these plastic inserts that cover the "holes" when the convertible top is down on the S550 and there are pictures of the S650 with it as well. Does anyone know if these are an accessory you need to purchase or does it come with the car? I kinda expected to see it on the window sticker like the license plate bracket but it isn't there.

My other question for anyone with the S550 vert, did you ever use them? It definitely gives the car a cleaner look but seem like a bit of a hassle. I'd be concern I'd forget that I put them on and lose them putting the top up while driving.

They came with my 2020. I use them occasionally, mainly for car meets or long drives. Supposedly there's a danger of wearing through the convertible top fabric at a couple of poorly-thought-out contact points, but I've not had a problem. If I used them daily, it might very well be an issue.

Short version: They were included and I like them. Occasionally.

They come with the car, but Ford considers them a dealer installed accessory, so they ship separately from the car. If you don’t see them in the vehicle when you purchase it, ask your sales rep to get one through the parts department.

Yeah they came with my ’20 but I’ve never used them once. Too lazy and the car looks fine without them IMO.

I'm glad you asked this. I was thinking maybe they were no longer producing the plastic inserts. I definitely prefer the look with the inserts installed. For short trips I probably wouldn't bother, but it really makes for a cleaner sleeker look.

As we've all found now, Ford is not including these with the S650s. The S550's DO FIT. I have an extra set that came off of coworkers S550. The pictures are of them installed on my S650. Asking $80, free shipping.

My dealer said they no longer give them out as part of the purchase. And the Ford Parts website does not show them. I guess the S550s work. On second thought, it might be better to be able to put the top up quickly with one less step - especially in a downpour situation.
